Giving looks
good on you
THE PERFECT GIFT STARTS LONG BEFORE THE MOMENT IT'S GIVEN
“Just because.” Two words that have launched more smiles than almost any occasion on the calendar. But while most of us spend large portions of our waking hours figuring out how to make more money, we’ve fallen behind on the best part of having it: spending on others. There’s a particular satisfaction in giving well, the kind that has nothing to do with occasion or obligation. Anyone who has handed over the right gift at the right moment already knows this. The pleasure isn’t in the spending; it’s in having paid attention. This is where jewelry earns its place above almost anything else you can buy. A cashmere sweater is lovely, but it’s forgotten by February. A piece of tech will be obsolete by October. A well-chosen piece of jewelry becomes something else entirely: evidence, worn at every dinner, every
holiday, every ordinary Tuesday that suddenly feels less ordinary. A small, permanent reminder that someone once paid real attention. The act itself is only part of the equation. What matters is thought, specificity, personality: the birthstone that matches a birthday, a tennis bracelet that works with every outfit, the watch that will tell the time for decades to come. The best gift-givers aren’t the ones who spend the most. They’re the ones who have been quietly taking notes: the offhand comment, the extra few seconds spent in front of a shop window, the “I’ve always wanted one of these” heard and, apparently, filed away. And once the right gift has been found, there’s something to be said for how it’s given.
the finishing touch
At Mountz Jewelers, the attention paid to a gift doesn’t end when the jewelry is chosen. It continues all the way to the bow on the box. Every Mountz bow is still made by hand, using the same bow-making machine that has been in the Leitzel family for generations. The machine was once used in Marvin Leitzel’s jewelry store, and over the years, four generations of the family have made bows on it. For Tonia Leitzel Ulsh, making those bows is a tradition that goes back to childhood, when
she remembers making them in the family’s living room. Today, the same machine is still doing its job, turning ribbon into the finishing touch on Mountz gifts. It would certainly be easier to replace it. But ease isn’t really the point. “Continuing this tradition is incredibly important to our family,” Tonia says. “The bow machine represents so much of what Mountz was built on: an appreciation for the details, respect for where we came from and a
belief that the extra time and care we put into something matters. Every bow we make is a small reminder of our family’s history and the traditions we’re proud to carry forward.” It’s a small detail, especially compared with what might be waiting inside the box. But that may be exactly why it matters. A great gift says someone was paying attention. At Mountz, even the bow carries a little of that thought with it.

must-haves diamond 5
Hoop earrings are the ideal choice when you need your diamond earwear to have a little more structure than studs. Any face looks instantly luminous when framed in two twinkling arcs of diamonds! Choose snug little diamond huggies for more casual moods or elegant, elongated hoops when you really want to add dimension and bring the bling.
T There’s nothing quite like a diamond: that scintillating, bright white shine that lights up both your smile and your look. Select a diamond of different size or style and it can take you from the grocery store to a night on the town, from a board meeting to the school drop-off lane. But which dazzling diamond delights do you need to have waiting in your jewelry box for any situation? Here are the five essential diamond must-haves. Diamond studs are many

For even more versatility, try wearing your diamond pendant on chains of different lengths!

A diamond tennis bracelet is the perfect place to start your wristwear collection: a captivating neutral to garland your arm in shimmering diamonds. But why stop at just one? A tennis bracelet is the perfect complement for a fine timepiece, stack of gold bangles, or colorful bracelets of any style. A diamond tennis bracelet will elevate anything next to it, and the effect only intensifies if you add multiple tennis bracelets at once!

You might think of anniversary bands or wedding rings when you see a diamond band, but these glittering rings are an eye-catching choice for any finger. Layer diamond bands of different styles and shapes for a ring stack with interesting texture, or pair diamond and gemstone bands if you want to add in more color! How about a stack with the birthstone of each member of your family, bordered by a diamond band at the top and bottom? It’s an approach that is as chic as it is meaningful.

30TH ANNIVERSARY
By Jennifer Brugh
ROBERTO COIN RETURNS TO VENICE Wonder thirty years of
Every wonder begins with a dream. For Roberto Coin, that dream has spanned three decades. To mark the occasion, the maison brought its anniversary celebration back to Venice, the city where it all began. On a warm summer evening in June, Roberto Coin welcomed guests to an immersive celebration featuring a cascade of candelabra, marine-inspired light, and reflections that transformed the room into something closer to myth than décor, each echoing the elemental force from which Venice arose. Guests moved through the space like a living, metaphorical current — a force in constant motion, capable of generating new visions, new emotions, and new forms of beauty. It’s here that Roberto Coin reflects on his Italian roots and craftsmanship while also looking toward the wonders that come next. “For me, wonder is never something static. Wonder lives in change, in the ability to look beyond what we have already created,” Roberto Coin states. “After more than fifty years of experience and thirty years of the maison’s history, I still see every collection as a new beginning, a new discovery, a new dream waiting to be transformed into reality. It is in this constant evolution that I find the truest expression of creativity.” At the center of the evening was the unveiling of both Meraviglia and Cobra, two distinct high jewelry collections. Unveiled as a manifesto of creative freedom, Meraviglia embodies the essence of the brand’s creative vision: the ability to transform intuition into extraordinary creation, a dream into reality, and imagination into beauty. Originally conceived in the late 1990s, Cobra returns with its curvy, articulated structure, now elevated through a sophisticated study of flexible, sculpted links that move like water. Diamonds, rubellites, tourmalines, emeralds, and sapphires in exquisite oval and cushion shapes are set with refined techniques designed to amplify their brilliance, color, and fluid motion. As Roberto Coin pays tribute to the intuitions and creations that built its identity, it does so with an eye fixed on the future. Because for this maison, milestones are not just part of the heritage — they shape the next chapter.

COLLECTING IN COLOR

DIFFERENT GEMSTONES FOR DIFFERENT DAYS, NO EXPLANATION REQU I RED.
IN LIVING
F For years, color was the sidekick of diamonds and gold, a pop of something extra rather than the main focal point. That’s shifted and color isn’t filling in anymore; now it makes for the most fun jewelry in the case and is the perfect way to accentuate an outfit and your personality. Not sure where to begin? Start with the colored tennis bracelet, because it’s the easiest way in. Take that classic line of light you already love and crank up the saturation with sapphire blues, emerald greens, or a pink you can spot from across the room. And then there’s the rainbow version. Every gemstone is a different color, lined up one after another, closer to a candy counter than a jewelry case. It’s the bracelet you know, just way more fun.
Picture a long chain dotted with bezel-set gemstones in every color there is: blue topaz, amethyst, peridot, citrine, a little smoky quartz, each one tucked in warm gold and catching the light its own way. Add the matching bracelet and your wrist does the rest of the talking. The best part is that a single piece already feels like a whole collection, so you’re never really wearing just one thing. And that’s what makes color so personal. Cool blues for the calm days, hot pink and coral for the days you’re feeling it. Reach for one emerald drop to keep things simple, or stack on everything when you don’t. Different gemstones for different days, no explanation required.

THE ART OF FLEXIBILITY FOPE
F FOPE has been synonymous with Italian goldsmithing since 1929, when the brand was founded in Vicenza, the city that remains its home and the site of its entirely in-house production. That heritage lives on in the Novecento mesh, FOPE’s signature gold weave. Individual links are assembled by hand, without soldering, into a structure soft enough to move like fabric against the skin. That distinctive mesh appears throughout FOPE’s collections in different proportions and textures, from slender, delicate weaves to more substantial designs. Many of its bracelets feature the brand’s patented Flex’it system, a network of microscopic 18-karat gold springs hidden within the mesh that gives the jewelry its signature stretch. Crafted in white, yellow, and rose gold, the designs are often finished with diamond pavé details that add just the right amount of brilliance. Understated by design, FOPE reflects a philosophy of luxury meant for everyday wear, with jewelry that feels polished without being formal. Bracelets can be worn alone or stacked together, while necklaces and other styles lend themselves naturally to layering. The different weights and textures of the mesh make mixing them part of the
appeal. It’s a fitting approach for a brand built on the idea that fine jewelry should move with its wearer, day after day.

ENDLESS APPEAL

GOLDEN
F
For years, cool metals held the spotlight. But yellow gold has fully reclaimed its place and it’s easy to see why. There’s a warmth to it that other metals don’t have, creating a honeyed glow against your skin. Yellow gold flatters nearly every complexion, the same way late-afternoon light flatters everything it touches. It carries history without feeling dated, and it dresses up an outfit without trying too hard. This season, the look leans bold and sculptural. A substantial chain or wide cuff can carry a look by itself. A domed ring, with enough curve and shine, turns a bare hand into something worth noticing. Any of these pieces hold up when worn alone; when stacked together, they start to feel like an actual outfit choice instead of an afterthought. Beyond its beauty, yellow gold has remarkable versatility. It works just as well at dinner as it does at the office, moving easily between everyday pieces and jewelry with a little more presence. Gold doesn’t need much of a case made for it at this point. It’s warm, confident, and easy to wear, with an appeal that feels just as relevant now as it will years from now.
BEYOND ITS BEAUTY,
YELLOW GOLD IS A TIMELESS OPT ION .

SLOW TRAVEL
THE LUXURY OF Staying
B By the end of my second week renting an apartment in Lisbon’s Graça neighborhood, known for its thigh-burning hills and spectacular viewpoints, the man behind the counter of the butcher shop paused before pointing to the quail. He had become accustomed to me stopping in every few days and buying one or two for my dog, Finn. We had made an impression. It was a moment that defines the best of what is now widely recognized as slow travel. We were locals. For most of the last few decades, more has been more when it came to travel: seven cities in 10 days; trains to planes to ferries with barely time to unpack. It had been about checking boxes. Countries were counted, itineraries stacked like poker chips. But now luxury travelers are looking to experience familiarity: a nod from a neighbor, finding the ideal corner of a quiet park, sampling the neighborhood bistros looking for the perfect pastel de nata or bica. The ultra-wealthy are choosing multi-week cultural immersion in a
are worth the climb, which tram to ignore, which bakery pulls fresh tarts out at 4 p.m. You’re no longer a sightseer; you’re a resident. The psychology behind it? Call it post-digital overload. Our scarcest commodities are silence, privacy, and unscheduled time. And slow travel is how you purchase all three. There’s also the admission that the old way didn’t work: no one returns from five countries in four days feeling anything but jet-lagged and in need of peace and quiet. The new way is a travel trend designed to leave you better than it found you. The frantic, geotagged grand tour is passé. The new flex is the villa in Umbria nobody knew you rented. The great irony is that the destination itself is almost beside the point. Lisbon. Kyoto. Montevideo. It’s the trip itself that brings you back to a new, improved you. What you are buying is not the place but your changed relationship to it — the shift from visitor to temporary resident, from someone taking pictures of a life well-lived to someone, however briefly, living one. TENNIS, EVERYONE! THE BRACELET BUILT FOR THE COURT, WORN EVERYWHERE ELSE
T
EACH D I AMOND
There's a reason the tennis bracelet earned its name honestly: it's built to keep up. But take it off the court and it stops being sporty at all. It's simply fine jewelry, as natural at a Tuesday desk as it is at a black-tie dinner. That's the trick of it. A player needs quick reflexes, a steady grip, and the discipline to repeat the same motion over and over. This bracelet was engineered with the same demands in mind. Each diamond is matched by hand so the whole line catches light as one, and every link bends with the wrist rather than resisting it. You're meant to put it on and stop noticing it's there, through a full day at work and dinner after. The style has evolved too. Round brilliants remain the reliable starting point, but the newer options run the gamut: sharp emerald shapes, ovals that appear larger than their carat weight might suggest, or marquise diamonds set end to end. Layer a few different diamond shapes on one wrist and you get something closer to a display case than a single bracelet. You don't need an actual match under your belt to wear one well. This is a piece equally at home on your wrist as a professional athlete's. Part grit, part sparkle, no trophy required.

Some jewelry is designed around a single statement piece. Shy Creation, the Los Angeles brand, has taken a different approach and builds its collections around silhouettes that work together, encouraging women to layer, stack, and mix designs to create a look that feels personal rather than prescribed. Every detail is considered, from the natural diamonds and handcrafted finishes to the polished backs that rest comfortably against the skin. The result is fine jewelry that is as easy to wear every day as it is to dress up for an evening out. Shy Creation's signature diamond craftsmanship with sculptural gold links, contemporary silhouettes, and modern textures give each design a confident presence. Its jewelry is meant to be layered rather than limited to a single jewel. Necklaces, bracelets, and rings can be combined to create different looks, whether the goal is subtle sophistication or something with more impact. The versatility is intentional. Statement earrings are the sizable standouts you select when you need your earrings to pack a serious style punch. From the fantastical to the fabulous, anything goes for statement earrings as long as it can comfortably dangle from your ear. Party-perfect statement earrings are the ideal time to take a risk, so don’t be afraid to push your own boundaries of scale, color, and style.
SUBTLE STUDS Don’t sleep on studs just because they’re small! A good pair of stud earrings is one of the easiest ways to enhance any look. Classic gold knot stud earrings or a structural fun shape will flatter necklaces made from the same metal. Rocking a colorful pattern? Try defying expectations by selecting studs that match the secondary colors of your outfit, rather than the primary hue.
DAZZLING DIAMONDS
Sparkle is the ultimate neutral: it goes with absolutely everything. Your lobes looking lonely at a formal function? Add diamond studs or drops to jazz things up! Want to enliven a trip to the grocery store? Dainty diamond earrings are the answer. Diamonds are strong and truly timeless, so if you ever get tired of your diamond earrings you can always have the gems reset for a fresh feeling.

A chubby huggie that fits close to the ear can complement a coordinating necklace or shine solo, while larger hoops are the perfect outfit-making choice for any type of ensemble. Tired of basic gold or silver hoops? Look for styles with unexpected texture, eye-catching color, boundary-pushing proportions, or other interesting design elements.

THE JEWELRY RULE WORTH BREAKING Metal M O O D S
F For years, the unspoken law in jewelry was that metals stayed in their lanes and you never mixed them. But that rule has been quietly, and joyfully, retired. The most modern way to wear fine jewelry now is to let warm yellow gold, cool white gold, and blush-toned rose mingle freely, whether on a single piece or layered together. The appeal is partly practical and entirely liberating. Mixed metals make an existing collection far more versatile. Suddenly, favorite pieces no longer have to compete simply because they were crafted in different gold tones. It also opens the door to experimenting with combinations, discovering unexpected pairings within your own jewelry box. That said, effortless rarely means accidental, and a few simple guidelines help mixed metals feel intentional rather than improvised.
Next, let each metal appear at least twice. Echo a rose gold band with rose gold studs, pair a yellow gold cuff with a matching chain, or complement a white gold tennis bracelet with a white gold eternity band. And if you’re hesitant to mix too freely, begin with two metals rather than three. Repetition, more than restraint, is what gives a mixed-metal look its sense of balance. Personal, a little playful, and endlessly versatile, a mixed-metal collection invites experimentation. New combinations emerge each time you open the jewelry box, which is precisely the point.
START WITH ONE PIECE THAT ALREADY MARRIES METALS, SUCH AS A TWO-TONE RING. IT ACTS AS A BRIDGE, MAKING EVERYTHING ELSE FEEL COHESIVE.

LAGOS
In the jewelry world, a legacy is often passed down in families that cherish artistry and craftsmanship. Mountz Jewelers and LAGOS share this heritage, each nurtured by a founding generation and handed off with pride to the next. Founded in Philadelphia by master jeweler Steven Lagos, LAGOS is guided by these principles and a devotion to visionary design. Steven’s daughter, Kate Lagos, joined in 2015 bringing fresh creative energy while preserving the company’s artisanal roots. Since 1977, LAGOS has pioneered designer fine jewelry, blending precious materials and expert craftsmanship into modern, iconic styles. The brand’s signature Caviar design, characterized by small textured beads reminiscent of caviar,
has become a symbol of individuality and timeless sophistication. The art of Caviar comes to life when worn. Each piece embodies natural ease and fluidity, becoming a second skin. While LAGOS designs continue to evolve, this principle remains central to the brand’s DNA. Iconic designs across the LAGOS collections celebrate personal style and inspire confidence. From the warmth of 18K gold superfine Caviar beading in Caviar Lux, to the brilliant, natural diamond radiance of Caviar Spark and the rich gemstone accents of Signature Caviar, each piece is designed to be treasured long beyond the season. Give something meaningful. Give something lasting. Give the gift of LAGOS.
Together, Mountz Jewelers and LAGOS are perfect examples of jewelry as a generational craft. One delivers personalized service built on honesty and a love of life’s celebrations; the other, bold innovation handed down through bloodlines. In both houses, the shining cores are the same: dedication, authenticity, and a legacy that sparkles through time. The Ingredients • 2 oz vodka • 1 oz coffee liqueur
The Preparation Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice and shake vigorously until well chilled and frothy. Double strain into a chilled martini glass and garnish with coffee beans.
• 1 oz freshly brewed espresso, cooled • 0.25 oz simple syrup (optional, to taste) • Garnish: 3 coffee beans
The custom comes from Italy, where sambuca is traditionally served con la mosc a — "with the fly"— meaning a few coffee beans dropped into the glass. When bartenders started shaking up espresso martinis, they carried this gesture over and three beans became the standard: one each for health, wealth, and happiness. There's also an old bar superstition that says odd-numbered garnishes are considered good luck — so a two- or four-bean martini isn't just unconventional; it's technically bad form. Skip the beans and regulars will notice; it's become as much a signature of the drink as the glass it's served in.

COOL, CLEAR, AND CAPTIVATING — THE SEASON’S MOST REFRESHING PALETTE
MONTANA SAPPHIRE is renowned for its unique beauty and unusual color. It comes in a variety of colors and appears to shift color in different lighting. These gems are perfect for mixing and matching in stacks and layers, adding new life to existing collections and jewelry wardrobes.
Some colors give you chills in the best possible way. This year, the defining mood in fine jewelry is unmistakably cool blue. It’s the shade of glacier ice, of clear high-altitude sky, of tropical water so transparent it seems unreal. And the trend forecasters have noticed. Pinterest names Cool Blue among this year’s defining jewelry colors. Searches for icy blue tones are up by half, and glacier-inspired accessories are quietly climbing onto every mood board. After seasons of warm gold and earthy gems, cool blue lands like a clean breath of fresh of air. What makes the palette so compelling is its range. These are not interchangeable blues; each carries its own temperament, and half the excitement comes from choosing yours.

BLUE TOPAZ is the extrovert: open, vivid, and unabashedly luminous, ranging from soft sky to that electric, swimming-pool brilliance that stops a room. It offers the most saturation for the most generous presence, making it ideal for a statement cocktail ring or pendant begging to be noticed across a candlelit table.
TANZANITE brings another dimension to blue, with shades that can shift from vivid blue to violet depending on the light and angle. That play of color gives the gemstone a depth all its own. Found only in Tanzania, tanzanite is also remarkably rare, making its distinctive blue-violet color even more compelling. Set against cool silver tones, as shown here, it feels crisp and striking, with just enough color to stand apart.
SET ANY OF THEM IN PLATINUM OR CRISP WHITE GOLD AND THE EFFECT SHARPENS FURTHER, METAL AND GEMSTONE AGREEING ON THE SAME ICY REGISTER. AGAINST WARM YELLOW GOLD, THE SAME BLUE TURNS UNEXPECTEDLY TENDER. LAYER THEM OR LET ONE STAND ALONE; EITHER WAY, THE COOL BLUE PALETTE FEELS MODERN, ALLURING, AND QUIETLY OPTIMISTIC.

READY TO PLAY?
MAHJONG MOMENT THE
We asked local instructors Katy Krevsky and Meg Makuch, better known as The Mah Jongg Besties, what new players should know before taking a seat at the table. Childhood friends, Katy and Meg have played mahjong together for 26 years. Today, they teach American Mahjong throughout Central Pennsylvania, introducing beginners to the game and bringing players together for regular opportunities to practice. Their first piece of advice: give yourself time to learn. Mahjong has plenty of rules, and getting comfortable with them takes patience and practice. Learning from an experienced player, ideally with a group of four, can make those first games easier to navigate. Once you start playing, stay flexible. Beginners often commit to a hand too early. Instead, Katy and Meg recommend watching what you draw and what other players discard before settling on a direction. Be willing to change course as the game develops. Above all, keep playing. The more time you spend at the table, the easier it becomes to recognize possibilities, make decisions, and build confidence. As the Besties put it, you can’t become a better player if you don’t play. MAHJONG ROOMS ARE THE NEW LUXURY SPACE POPPING UP IN HOMES ACROSS THE COUNTRY.
That exciting sense of discovery has fueled the game’s resurgence. Instead of downloading an app or watching a video, new players are hiring instructors to teach small groups of friends in their homes. A lesson becomes a reason to gather, and gathering becomes a habit — phones are set aside. As conversation flows between turns, the game creates a structure for connection that feels natural and unforced. As interest has grown, so has the attention paid to
where the game is played. Across the country, people are carving out dedicated mahjong rooms or thoughtfully adapting existing spaces. Tables are sized precisely for play. Chairs are upholstered for comfort during long sessions. Spaces are layered with pattern and texture, from floral wallpapers and striped walls to lacquered trays, monogrammed tile bags, and stacks of colorful cards. Lamps cast a warm glow, drinks sit nearby, and the hours tend to stretch longer than planned. Hemsell has seen it firsthand. “It doesn’t have to be an entire room,” she says. “It can be a charming little nook with a card table, a great tablecloth, a lamp in the center, and maybe a few candles. But people love creating a moment. They match their tiles to their mat, their racks, even their bag. It becomes this curated, personal space that reflects them.” For some, that space grows into something more elaborate. For others, it is simply an excuse to make an everyday afternoon feel special. The appeal extends beyond aesthetics. In a world dominated by screens and packed schedules, mahjong creates an opportunity to slow down and be present. The click of tiles, the cadence of turns, and the ease of conversation create a kind of gathering that feels rare and grounding. The competition is friendly, the pace unhurried, and the sense of belonging comes easily. “What keeps people coming back is the community,” Hemsell says. “I’ve had women tell me this game changed their lives. It brings people together in a way that feels meaningful. You’re focused, you’re in the moment, and you’re laughing. Between shuffling and hands, you catch up. It’s social, but it’s also good for your brain.” What was once seen as old fashioned now feels fresh, social, and surprisingly chic. Mahjong is not about winning every hand. It is about creating space for connection, returning week after week, and savoring the ritual as much as the game itself.
THE SWEEPING POPULARITY OF A CLASSIC GAME
M
Mahjong is having a moment. Once associated with a much older generation, the centuries-old tile game is now drawing new players across the country, turning afternoons into standing weekly dates and homes into places designed for gathering. What began as a quiet rediscovery has quickly grown into a full-fledged social ritual. Originating in China in the 19th century, mahjong arrived in the United States in the early 20th century and evolved into what is now known as American Mahjong. The four-player game blends strategy, memory, and luck. Players build hands using numbered tiles, winds, dragons, and jokers, following a card that is updated annually, to keep game play fresh and evolving. The rules can feel complex at first, but once learned, the rhythm of play becomes intuitive and deeply engaging. For Louisville-based instructor Jennifer Hemsell, known to many of her students as Mahj-Jen, that learning curve is part of the appeal. “People are willing to invest the time because once you get through that first lesson or two, it becomes addictive,” she says. “You take what feels like chaos in your hand and start finding patterns. There are 71 different hands on the card, so every game is different. You look up thinking five minutes have passed and find that it’s been two hours.”

HEIRLOOM VALUE
Back Future TOTHE T There’s a particular satisfaction in finding something the market cannot reproduce. Not because it was designed to be rare, but because time made it that way. A Van Cleef clip from the 1940s. A Cartier bracelet a generation out of production. A cocktail ring in calibré- cut rubies. These pieces exist once, and only once. Estate jewelry has always attracted collectors, but the way it’s worn has changed. The boundary between vintage and contemporary has dissolved, making room for combinations that feel entirely current. A Georgian seed pearl mourning ring can share a hand with a new bezel-set band. A ’70s Bulgari coil bracelet can be stacked with something minimal and modern. That appetite has also raised the bar for how estate jewelry is sourced and sold. Knowledge, documentation, restoration expertise, and provenance all matter. So does knowing what makes a piece worth seeking out. Interest spans the eras, from Edwardian filigree and Art Deco geometry to the sculptural gold of the Retro period and graphic pieces of the 1970s. Each offers something distinctive. “Limited edition” has been used so liberally it has stopped meaning anything. Estate jewelry offers the real thing: genuinely singular pieces with a history already attached. AUTHENTICITY, RARITY, AND STYLE MAKE ESTATE JEWELRY A MODERN FAVORITE By Annie Davidson Watson
Every piece has a past. Heirloom by Mountz brings together a curated collection of vintage and estate jewelry chosen for its beauty, character, and enduring appeal. From distinctive designs of decades past to pieces that feel every bit as relevant today, each has its own history and something that sets it apart. Now, the next chapter belongs to you. Wear it, make new memories with it, and one day, perhaps, pass it along for another generation to love.

STORY
THROUGH ITS NEW ORIGIN PROGRAM, DE BEERS GROUP IMMERSES DIAMOND BUYERS IN A TALE OF TIME AND TRANSFORMATION THAT OFTEN GOES UNTOLD
C
led to each diamond’s formation. Impact spotlights the human element behind each diamond and highlights how each diamond helps make a lasting, meaningful impact on communities and nature in the country where it was found (Botswana, Namibia, Canada, South Africa, or Sierra Leone). This includes funding critical infrastructure like schools and hospitals, supporting women-owned small businesses, and seeking to preserve at-risk land and wildlife. No matter which ORIGIN diamond is selected, clients can be sure it has been meticulously cut to the highest standards. A first- of-its-kind video illustrates the rotating diamond as a wireframe, then folds it in half on itself to showcase the precise symmetry, down to the very last facet, which creates exceptional sparkle. Most importantly, each ORIGIN diamond* has been traced all the way to its country of origin leveraging blockchain technology. With ORIGIN De Beers Group diamonds you have the assurance that your diamond is conflict free and adheres to the highest standards for the respect of human rights.
Have you ever wondered what your diamond looked like millions of years ago before arriving to you in its finished form? Clients who select an ORIGIN De Beers Group diamond will have the rare opportunity to see images of their natural treasure in its original rough, and to travel back in time to discover how it transformed to the beautiful diamond you see today. Every client can gain access to an immersive digital experience by scanning an image of the cut diamond. It leads to an image of the cut diamond superimposed within its rough form, along with information about its shape and size, unique identifier, average age, and provenance (country of origin). Clients can choose to dive deeper into each of these three areas to learn more about their diamond’s Character , Journey , and Impact . Character reveals the diamond’s shape, natural rarity score, and detail for each of its 4Cs — clarity, cut, carat weight, and color. The Journey tab explores what De Beers Group calls “the remarkable odyssey of natural diamonds,” describing geological circumstances like intense heat and pressure over time that
