Mountz Jewelers Magazine 2026-2027

The setting style can say just as much about a ring as the diamond. Bolder designs are getting more attention, with substantial bands, sculptural details, and settings that give the diamond a stronger presence on the hand. Prongs are becoming part of the look, too. Rather than disappearing into the background, they may be doubled, angled, elongated, or worked into the overall design. Bezels offer another option, along with east-west settings and asymmetrical arrangements. There are fewer rules about what an engagement ring should look like today, leaving plenty of room to choose the details that suit your own style.

ELONGATED SHAPES, NONTRADITIONAL SETTINGS AND ONE-OF-A-KIND DESIGNS ARE REDEFINING THE ENGAGEMENT RING CATEGORY

Dreaming of something else? Sometimes the ring you have in mind simply doesn’t exist yet. That’s where custom design comes in. You may arrive with photos, sketches, or a clear idea of exactly what you want. Or you may have no idea where to begin. Either way, the Mountz design team can walk you through the process, helping you choose the shape, setting, metal, and details that feel right. From the first conversation and initial sketch to seeing the design take shape, you’re part of the process. The end result is a ring made specifically for you, down to the smallest detail.
