How did you meet? What is one of the first things that you noticed about them? K: We met at the hottest club in the city at the time, Mixx Ultra Lounge. I had actually seen her a few months prior at Blue Wisp. She had just graduated from UC. Our first date was at a hidden gem in the city, Fries Café. That day we found out really fast that we were both whiskey drinkers — Crown Royal, to be exact . J: In true new age fashion, Kevin and I met on social media! We followed each other on multiple social media platforms. I saw him out at a club and said hello but didn’t see him again the rest of the night. I noticed right away that he had nice shoes and a nice smile — two very important qualities. Later that night, he sent me a message and asked me on a date. The saying, “Started from a DM, now we’re
here,” is real! Our first date was Fries Café in Clifton. We sat and talked for hours about everything from music to sneakers — all the while drinking our favorite craft beers and whiskey. We wrapped up the night with a few slices of pizza and plans for a second date. Story Time: Our first vacation together was to Disney World. The hotel lobby was beautiful, there was a glass ceiling that you could look though and see the stars. On one of our last nights after dinner, the lobby of the hotel was completely empty. I played a song on my phone, and we slow danced together right in the middle of the room! I’m looking forward to recreating this moment with our first dance. Of course our guests will be there, but I can’t wait to be in the moment — just us.
Meghan &Jack What are you looking most forward to at your wedding?
M: Wedding planning (especially in 2020) can be quite stressful at times, so I am most excited to forget every care in the world and just dance the night away with the love of my life, surrounded by our closest family and friends! Oh, and to show off my engagement ring with my pretty new wedding band. J: Besides seeing Mehgan in her dress and putting that ring around her finger? I think the thing I am looking forward to the most at our wedding is finding out which one of our friends is going to do something incredibly embarrassing. I have a few names in mind, already.
What are you most excited for in the first five years of marriage? M: Honestly, I would have to say I am most excited to finally be married to my best friend! I am excited for all the ups, downs, and in- betweens life has in store, and I can’t wait to see where life takes us! I know as long as I have Jack by my side, I am ready to take on anything and everything! J: Just being with Meghan. Continuing to grow with her and seeing where our lives take us. I know we have some adventures planned, but I am excited for the spontaneous ones that I know are going to happen.
