ROYAL PRINCESS FLOWER COLLECTION

To all our friends and loyal customers,

Home is where stories begin, and dreams become realities. We’ve come a long way since our story began when B.C. Clark Sr. found a home for his watchmaker’s bench in the corner of a five-and-dime store in Purcell, Indian Territory. Today we are Oklahoma’s Jeweler, and we are home to the biggest names in designer jewelry and luxury watches. Now in addition to our Downtown and Northpark locations, we invite you to discover our new home at Classen Curve! This year has been unlike any other year in our 128 year history. It has offered many challenges, as well as many successes. The BC Clark family offers our sincerest gratitude to you and the generations before you that have made it possible for our dreams to become realities.

Sincerely from the Heart of Oklahoma,

Coleman, Jim, and Mitchell Clark

MODERN PEARLS Even with ever-evolving trends, the pearl always finds its place. In upcoming seasons, you will see pearls updated for the modern woman. Pearls are being used to punctuate the look of a basic gold chain or hoop earring. Pearls in graduated sizes create flow and draw attention.

DROP ME A LINE There’s something strong and confident about a sleek, linear drop, especially if it happens to be coated in diamonds. Earrings with the linear look can stretch clear to the collar bone for a high fashion flash; likewise, a necklace can drop to disappear in your décolletage . Beyond those runway looks lie plenty of pretty options for everyday wear too. So, go long or go home, as they say.

Linear turquoise drop earrings by Sloane Street, $2,245.

Diamond spear earrings, $5,680.

Diamond drop necklace by Frederic Sage, $2,095.

Novella chandelier diamond earrings by David Yurman, $35,000.

Artisan Pavé drop earrings by Harry Kotlar, $8,995.

VIVID COLOR RINGS Color is coming on strong in 2021. Shy blush tones are being overtaken by bold reds, blues, amethyst, and emerald hues in both precious and semiprecious gemstone varieties. Colorful gemstones with warm yellow gold tones create a vivid statement. Enamel introduces affordability, so you can start your collection easily.

Ippolita Carnevale mother- of-pearl and diamond rings in sterling silver covered in vibrant ceramic colors, $695 each.

Blue Zircon and diamond ring by Spark Creations, $11,750.

Lucia chain bracelet by Marco Bicego, $2,390.

THE CHAIN GANG There’s no doubt about it, chains are a fashion staple and are here to stay in a big way. From sleek paper clip styles to massive chunky links, the options are endless. Sprinkling in a few diamonds makes them even better! Sterling silver stole the show for years, but yellow gold has a strong center stage presence, now.

Link bracelet by Sloane Street, $7,415.

Pavé diamond link bracelet, $46,880.

Chain link necklace with diamonds by Penny Preville, $5,775.

Princess tassel earrings with diamonds by Roberto Coin, $3,800.

RETRO FRINGE Channeling ’70s vibes or looking for a vintage flare? Fringe fits the bill. Bold, sometimes psychedelic colors evoke emotions of peace, love, and happiness. Or perhaps you prefer a vintage style with textured details. Either way, fringe offers a little whimsy to your wardrobe.

THE MAGIC OF

Tri-color watermelon tourmaline and diamond necklace by Frederic Sage, $12,175.

ecause gemstones are created by nature, people have always believed they have a special energy and mystical properties. Belief in gem powers has existed for nearly 5,000 years. Depending on the era and the civilization, colored stones have been associated with wealth, power, love, safety, and wellbeing. Some people think gem lore is silly — how could a simple rock have such power? I would argue that wearing a beautiful gemstone has the power to promote emotional wellbeing and strength just by making you feel beautiful and powerful. Gemstones allow us to illuminate our individual spirits and express our sense of style. Everyone responds to color, and each hue works its own special, secret magic. From amethyst and garnet to the finest rubies and emeralds, jewelry designers are constantly finding new ways of conveying that power. Here are some recent examples and a glimpse into the special magic of gem colors. RED IS THE COLOR OF LOVE. IT RADIATES WARMTH AND PRODUCES A STRONG SENSE OF VITALITY. TWO MAGICAL ELEMENTS ARE ASSOCIATED WITH THE SYMBOLISM OF THIS COLOR: FIRE AND BLOOD, IMPLYING WARMTH AND LIFE FOR ALL. TOURMALINE: Tourmaline is a relatively modern gemstone, reaching wide popularity only in the 1970s. It is said to have special healing properties and the ability to release a wholesome energy to all parts of the body, enhancing courage, strength, and stamina. With a hardness of 7-7.5, tourmaline is quite resistant to scratching, chipping, and cracking, making it an excellent choice for everyday wear.

Roberto Coin Princess Flower diamond and ruby bracelet, $20,300.

RUBY: Like no other gemstone, the ruby is the perfect way to express powerful feelings. Ruby symbolizes bravery, determination, and passionate energy. A ring set with a precious ruby is a celebration of love, which makes everything else possible. It is also the July birthstone and the gem of the 40th anniversary.

THE COLORS YOU SURROUND YOURSELF WITH EVERY DAY HAVE A POWERFUL ENERGY THAT GOES BEYOND STYLE AND SELF-EXPRESSION

ROBERTO COIN’S MAGICAL RUBY

Sometimes it is the spiritual side of a thing that counts. That is the philosophy behind the hidden ruby in each Roberto Coin jewelry creation. Since he started his eponymous brand in 1996, Roberto has become known as the creator of many of the most interesting trends in the jewelry world, not only in his native Italy but also the United States. His quirky yet elegant style, combined with the highest standards of craftsmanship and his winning personality and warmth, have brought him loyal admirers from around the world. As a designer interested in the mystical, inspirational powers of gemstones, Roberto

has long signed each of his pieces with a small ruby set inside the jewelry, in direct contact with the skin of the wearer. This magical signature represents the message of good wishes that Roberto Coin dedicates to his passionate clientele.

BLUE IS A UNIVERSALLY FAVORITE COLOR. IT IS COOLING AND SOOTHING, AND IT IS SAID TO INSPIRE WISDOM AND CLARITY. SOFT BLUES ARE THOUGHT TO CALM THE MIND AND AID CONCENTRATION. TRUE BLUE LOVERS ARE LOYAL, AFFECTIONATE, CARING, AND ENCOURAGING. SAPPHIRE: A gift of sapphire symbolizes a pledge of trust, loyalty, and sincerity. It is from this tradition that sapphire has long been a popular choice for engagement rings. The gift of sapphire is a pledge to keep promises. It is also the birthstone of September. Like ruby, it is one of the most prized of gems, due to its hardness and highly saturated color.

Sapphire and diamond drop earrings, $26,900.

AQUAMARINE: The color of the sea on a warm tropical holiday or a cool iceberg in the Antarctic, aquamarine is the color of earth’s life-giving forces and surely one of the cheeriest in the gemstone palette. It was believed to have originated in the treasure chests of fabulous mermaids, who doled it out to protect their favorite sailors. As a gem, aquamarine is accessible, beautiful, and wearable — it can take a few knocks without chipping.

Aquamarine and diamond ring by Frederic Sage, $6,950.

GREEN IS KNOWN TO INSPIRE HARMONY AND BALANCE BECAUSE IT IS IN THE CENTER OF THE SPECTRUM. GREEN EXPRESSES FREEDOM AND GOOD NATURE, AND GREEN GEMSTONES ARE CONSIDERED TO BE BOTH ENERGIZING AND REASSURING. IT IS ASSOCIATED WITH RESTORATION, EQUILIBRIUM, AND PEACE.

Emerald and Diamond Stud Earrings, $11,700.

EMERALD: The ancient Egyptians believed emerald represented fertility and rebirth, as well as hope and loyalty. It was associated with the Greek goddess Venus, who represented love and beauty, and in several cultures as diverse as Chinese and Irish, it has long represented good luck. Emerald has even been credited with improving one’s memory and intelligence and transforming negativity into positive emotional energy.

Platinum diamond ring by Joshua J. with 7.38 ct oval emerald and scattered pavé emeralds, $33,795.

18 ] B C C L A R K M A G A Z I N E

TANZANITE: The deep purple of Tanzanite makes it one of the most elegant gemstones on earth. It is associated with the power of communication and with a vibrational energy that invites protection and safety. Tanzanite is relatively rare and sometimes costly, found in only one place in the world, the Merelani Hills in Tanzania, East Africa. PURPLE HAS AN AURA OF MYSTERY AND INTRIGUE, BUT ALSO OF AUTHENTICITY AND TRUTH. IT IS SAID TO ENCOURAGE DEEP CONTEMPLATION OR MEDITATION AND LEAD TO A HIGHER LEVEL OF THOUGHT. PURPLE HAS LONG BEEN ASSOCIATED WITH ROYALTY AND HAS COME TO REPRESENT QUALITY AND LUXURY.

AMETHYST: In addition to bringing peace, happiness, and emotional well-being, amethyst is credited with the power to enhance your intuition and psychic powers, resulting in good fortune. It was also believed to protect you from snake bites and evil spirits. Amethyst is readily available in large sizes, so it is not unusual to see it as the center stone in bold cocktail rings — the perfect gift for a fifth wedding anniversary or a February birthday.

Tanzanite and diamond necklace by Spark Creations, $10,990.

Amethyst and diamond ring by Sloane Street, $4,975.

PINK SYMBOLIZES UNCONDITIONAL LOVE AND THE FRESHNESS OF YOUTH. IT IS THE COLOR OF ROMANCE, WARMTH, AFFECTION, AND TRANQUILITY. MORE SOOTHING THAN STIMULATING, PINK REPRESENTS THE FEMININE PRINCIPLE, REPRODUCTION, AND THE SURVIVAL OF THE SPECIES.

Morganite and diamond bracelet from David Yurman’s

Novella collection,

$3,750.

Pink sapphire and diamond ring, $1,795.

MORGANITE: Morganite is a beryl and, therefore, gemologically related to aquamarine and emerald. It has a dazzling brilliance and comes in soft colors that range from clear pink to warm peach. There is a gentle pink energy associated with morganite that promotes healing, compassion, assurance, and promise. With a hardness of 7.5, morganite is a durable gem that is well-suited for everyday wear.

PINK SAPPHIRE: Pink is one of the most popular and most beautiful of the many vibrant colors of sapphire. It represents intuition, clarity, and self-mastery. It stimulates the emotions of love, forgiveness, and acceptance. Like all sapphires, it is a very hard gem, and thus suitable for any form of jewelry. It lends an extra-feminine air to any jewelry design.

Welcome to CLASSENCURVE

WHERE ARTISTRY AND DESIGN MEET BC Clark Jewelers has come a long way since a young BC Clark, Sr. found a home for his watchmaker’s bench and small display case in the corner of the “five-and- dime” store in Purcell, Indian Territory, where the company’s story began 128 years ago. Today, in addition to locations inDowntown and the Shoppes at Northpark, BC Clark has a new home at Classen Curve, Oklahoma City’s premier shopping destination. “The Classen Curve store underscores BC Clark’s commitment to Oklahoma City for years to come,” said Coleman Clark, BC Clark president. “After all, Oklahoma is more than a place to do business. It is home to us,” he added.

REDEFINING YOUR SHOPPING EXPERIENCE All the friendly faces from the store previously located at Penn Square Mall made the move to Classen Curve and are ready to welcome you. “The store was designed with our customers in mind, for them to truly experience a dynamic, inviting, and comfortable environment,” Clark said. When you walk into the new location you step into a truly breathtaking space. High ceilings, amazing lighting, and an open space concept with huge windows allow natural light to flood the two-story space. A 16-foot custom chandelier spanning the first and second floor is an eye-catching focal point upon entering the store. Mixing gold and silver bright and shiny leaves with light accents, the dramatic chandelier dances and mesmerizes from every angle. “While we kept some elements of the store consistent with our other locations, the building called for a more contemporary architecture and feel,” Clark explained. “So, we introduced features and design materials more unique to this location.” The Classen Curve store is Oklahoma’s largest and most prestigious jewelry store and by far the largest retail space that BC Clark has ever occupied. The first floor is 10,000 square feet, most of which is retail space for jewelry and watches. The showroom is more than 30 percent larger than its previous location, including a Rolex environment that is the largest of its kind in the region, a dedicated David Yurman boutique, and an expanded engagement ring area like no other. The second level features another spacious showroom featuring the Life:Style home, gifts, and bridal registry department. Convenient parking, two entrances, lounges, and room to spread out invite shoppers to come, shop, and stay awhile.

VISIT THE STUNNING, NEW ROLEX ENVIRONMENT

The new Rolex environment is a dream come true for watch enthusiasts. The expanded offering features the newest concepts seen only in the finest Rolex retailers in the world. All elements were designed by Rolex and fabricated in Geneva, Switzerland.

EXPERIENCE THE DAVID YURMAN BOUTIQUE Fans of DavidYurman will be thrilled to visit our expandedYurman boutique. BC Clark has been in partnership with David Yurman for over 30 years, and was one of the first independent David Yurman dealers in the country. The new boutique concept incorporates many features and materials seen in David Yurman’s new flagship store on 57th street in New York City.

CREATE MEMORIES WHILE RING SHOPPING The new engagement ring area is designed to turn engagement ring shopping into an unforgettable experience. It’s a comfortable place for couples to explore and shop for their special rings. Tucked away between the staircase and waves of intricately woven metal, the intimate area features a separate “Band Bar” for couples to choose “his and hers” wedding bands.

MORE LIFE:STYLE BC Clark dedicated a vast space to its Life:Style home and gift department on the second level, accessible by stairs or elevator. Here shoppers can find ideas for entertaining and gifts for all occasions. Brides will love this area as a destination to register for wedding gifts and will enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of the Life:Style Lounge while planning their wedding registry.

LOCAL PARTNERSHIPS CREATE MAGIC BCClark partnered withHSEArchitects, who was involved with the design at the store at the Shoppes at Northpark. The result is a truly special place. The store design was inspired by modern jewelry design, the architects said. “While designing the space we constantly referred back to certain pieces that we found early on for inspiration,” said Todd Edmonds, principal architect at HSE. “We wanted the space to have the same soft organic elegance that you see in a lot of necklace, bracelet, and ring designs. Our goal was always to capture that essence and reinterpret it into architectural features and interior finishes.” HSE was heavily involved from start to finish, from the floor plan concept to the design elements, to the interior design finishes. HSE’s interior designer helped select all the finishes and appointed furniture. The design evokes timeless elegance. “BC Clark has been in Oklahoma since 1892 and has no intentions of going anywhere anytime soon,” Edmonds said. “They needed the design of their space to be one that lasts but also representative of the values that built their company. They have sold jewelry for 128 years and jewelry is something people wear as a way of expressing themselves. We thought the store should be a way for BC Clark to express themselves.” When choosing their partners BCClark focused on working with local businesses including HSE Architects, Smith and Pickel Construction, and mostly local subcontractors. “Oklahoma has supported us for 128 years, and we will always support our local community however we can,” Clark explained. “And this commitment doesn’t end with our contractors.” In celebration of the opening of the new store, BC Clark donated $10,000 to Infant Crisis Services, an Oklahoma City-based nonprofit providing necessities to toddlers and babies. In addition to stores in Downtown and the Shoppes at Northpark, Classen Curve gives BC Clark customers three great locations to shop. “Classen Curve is an ideal location for our largest store for the next ten years and beyond,” Clark said. “The outstanding retail, dining, and fitness brands at Classen Curve, as well as the proximity and ease for our customers, make it a perfect fit for BC Clark. We invite you to come see us at Classen Curve and celebrate the latest chapter of our Oklahoma story.”

A FAMILY AFFAIR One new addition beloved by staff and customers alike is a cozy “KidSpace” located under the stairs. Complete with a star ceiling, beanbags, and a TV screen, it is sure to be a favorite spot to keep kids occupied while parents shop. The whimsical ‘animals in space’ themed walls were hand- painted by Emmy Clark, 5th generation Clark family member, and an art student at the University of Oklahoma. The room is also equipped with a camera so that the parents may carry around an iPad to keep an eye on their children as they continue to browse.

H E L P S A R T I S T S S H A R E T H E I R C R E A T I V E L E G A C I E S ROLEX MENTOR AND PROTÉGÉ ARTS INITIATIVE M Many people, including collectors and aficionados, consider a Rolex watch to be a work of art, but what may be less known is that when you buy a Rolex, you are also making a contribution to global culture. Rolex founded the Mentor and Protégé Arts Initiative in 2002, and since then has paired 54 of the world’s greatest artists with younger artists of exceptional promise and talent from around the globe. The purpose of the initiative is to ensure the world’s artistic heritage is passed on by pairing young artists with established artistic masters and funding them for two years of one-to-one collaboration. At the heart of the process is an exchange of talent, much like the transmission of traditional watchmaking skills from master to apprentice. Rolex has paired artists in dance, film, literature, music, theatre, visual arts, and architecture. A system of grants and honorariums supports both mentors and protégés during each term of collaboration. The 2020/2021 pairs include:

Composer and actor Lin-Manuel Miranda will work with 28-year-old Argentinian director, screenwriter and cinematographer Agustina San Martin, who won a Special Mention Jury Prize for Best Short Film at the 72nd Cannes Festival for Monster God (2019).

26 ] B C C L A R K M A G A Z I N E

Visual artist Carrie Mae Weems, who will mentor 35-year-old Camila Rodriguez Triana of Colombia, whose work has been exhibited in shows in South America and Europe.

To choose the participants of the program, Rolex assembles an advisory board comprised of experts qualified to identify talented young artists from their worldwide network of contacts who meet each mentor’s profile for a protégé. To ensure impartiality, panel members remain anonymous during the selection period. The goal for Rolex is to make a contribution to global culture and to encourage an enriching dialogue between generations of artists. The program gives young artists the opportunity to benefit from the two years of guidance and inspiration of working with an artistic master in their field. Protégés over the years have commented that the experience of being mentored deepens their knowledge of their artistic discipline and boosts their confidence, profile and connections with other people in the arts. Mentors have also benefited from the relationship. It gives them an opportunity to see their art through younger eyes and refresh their own outlook on their discipline. Rolex

asks its mentors and protégés to interact for at least six weeks during the mentoring period, which takes place over two years. Most pairs spend considerably more time together. Some of the alliances have resulted in serious collaborations, leading to performances and works of art. “We at Rolex have been privileged that, for nearly two decades, dozens of the most genre-defining artists have lent their time and expertise to the Arts Initiative,” says Rebecca Irvin, program director. “The four new mentors who join the initiative’s community of creative greats have broken new ground in their respective fields, and we look forward to the impact they will have on their protégés, as they pass on their devotion to their arts in this cross-generational exchange.” At the end of the mentoring period, Rolex will invite the participants and guests to honor the achievements of the mentors and protégés at a public weekend of celebrations.

British director Phyllida Lloyd, who will mentor 33-year- old Whitney White, an accomplished director, musician/ composer and actress.

Filmmaker Spike Lee, who will mentor his chosen protégé, 33-year-old Kyle Bell, an American filmmaker whose work includes the Heartland Emmy-winning documentary show Osiyo: Voices of the Cherokee People.

CELEBRATING 20 OF COILS YEARS MARCO BICEGO’S COLLECTIONS ARE PURE MAGIC, AND HIS INSPIRATION FOR EACH PIECE COMES FROM SOME OF THE MOST UNLIKELY PLACES. FOR YEARS, THE GOLD COIL HAS BEEN AN INSTRUMENTAL PART OF MARCO’S COLLECTIONS, AND IT ALL HAPPENED BY ACCIDENT.

early 20 years ago, a machine broke down, causing a gold chain to spiral. Rather than scrap the gold to make something

new, Marco seized the opportunity to master the technique and turn it into what is now one of his signature collections, including one of his first collections, Marrakech. To this day, the Marrakech remains one of Marco’s favorite collections. Globally, the coil technique and designs that Marco creates have made his brand recognizable, and no other jeweler has come close to duplicating his pieces. “I am very attached to the process of winding the wire that we call ‘Spirale’ (coil). My entrepreneurial and design journey starts with coils. The coil has become a symbol of my company, a thread that leads back home.”

SKI VERMONT

Yep...we know all about Aspen, Breckenridge, Telluride, Copper Mountain....blah, blah, blah. All beautiful places with incredible slopes and views and resorts and restaurants. Got it. But maybe it is time to mix it up. Once it feels safe to travel again, maybe you want to experience your first ski trip with a loved one or the entire family. Maybe you wish to be surprised on the upside with some of the most incredible mountains and slopes on the other side of the Mississippi. The state slogan is “Freedom & Unity.” No better time than 2021 to ski Vermont!

Although fall foliage is the major draw for tourists to the Green Mountains of Vermont, winter travelers find plenty of reasons to get out into the woods too. Vermont’s ski industry is less than 100 years old, but it draws skiers of all skill levels — and plenty of people who are perfectly happy to gaze at the snow-covered mountains from the cozy com- fort of the lodge.

Today, Vermont is home to more than 30 cross-country (Nordic) touring centers and nearly 20 downhill (alpine) areas and resorts. Whether you prefer to hurtle down a double-diamond run at break- neck speed or lope your way along a cross-country ski or snowshoe- ing trail, there are options to warm the heart of even the frostiest snow bunny.

Killer slopes Killington Resort is a collection of 200 trails and 33 lifts stretching across seven mountains in central Vermont, with an average of 250 inches of natural snow each winter. The skiing is always perfect at Killington thanks to the most extensive snowmaking system in the United States, which has allowed Killington to offer the longest ski season in eastern North America for 43 consecutive years. In addition to some of the most diverse downhill ski terrain, Killington offers cross-country skiing, rock climbing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and dog sledding. The village offers spas, shopping, and a lively après-ski nightlife, with more than 100 restaurants serving fine and casual cuisine. The Trapp Family Lodge Traditionalists love the Trapp Family Lodge, above Stowe Village, for its feels-like-Austria ambiance. The property is still owned and operated by descendants of Baron Georg and Baroness Maria von Trapp, familiar to all from The Sound of Music. The cross-country skiing—with 60 kilometers of trails — is second to none here, and sleigh rides are a delight as you snuggle under thick blankets while a team of horses draws you through the woods on a cold winter night. Spruce Peak The latest development is Spruce Peak at Stowe, which offers upscale slopeside residences and luxury lodging in an intimate Vermont alpine setting. Stowe Mountain Lodge offers ski-in/ski- out access to the slopes of Spruce Peak. The ski and snowboard valet and 24-hour on-site concierge service assure top-flight service during your stay. With its commitment to protecting 2,000 acres of unspoiled alpine wilderness surrounding the community, Spruce Peak at Stowe is both a luxurious and environmentally responsible place to ski.

ROBERTO COIN CREATES SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE THIS SEASON

Drop earrings from the Cento Diamond New Florentine collection, $7,900.

hen Roberto Coin began to design and produce jewelry in 1977 on behalf of some of the most prestigious international brands of fine jewelry, he found himself quickly becoming one of

the most sought-after designers in the business. He eventually launched his own brand in 1996 and has never looked back. Coin’s quirky yet elegant style, combined with the highest standards of craftsmanship, not to mention his winning personality and warmth, have brought him loyal admirers from around the world. One of his strengths is the breadth of his collections. He has made a commitment to designing hundreds of new pieces every year, a testament to the strength and longevity of his creative drive. Whether building on existing collections and familiar motifs or blowing us away with something utterly unique, Roberto’s sense of what women want to accessorize with is spot on. This year he offers a bit of everything.

Diamond Outline Flower Pendant, $2,460.

Byzantine Borocco Laurel Leaf Band with diamonds, $4,800.

Principessa Small Flower Pendant with diamonds, $1,050.

Some of his most popular pieces are scaled down for 2020/21, resulting in a petite, more casual look. The new pieces are perfect for layering with other necklaces and bracelets across the Coin collections. The new Venetian Princess Petite collection, for example, includes station chain, single flower pendants and matching earrings, including studs in two sizes, and everyone’s favorite, the dangle bangle. This year, Roberto adds comfy stretchy gold bracelets, which can add a whole new dimension to your stack. All pieces have the familiar four-petal floral motif inspired by the rose windows at the Palazzo Ducale in St. Mark’s Square in Venice.

18K rose gold Petite Venetian Princess Stretch Bracelet with diamonds, $1,980.

18K yellow gold Principessa Stretch Flower Bracelet with diamonds, $2,600.

Palazzo Ducale Wide Bangle with diamonds, $13,500.

Last year, Roberto produced two introductory pieces in the tassel collection and everyone loved them! This year, he adds a fringe option to the mix. The necklaces are slightly smaller, but there is plenty of fringe on each in the form of tiny dangling ball chains that tickle the skin as you move. There are matching bracelets, rings, and earrings, some accented with diamonds. Convertibility is a nice new element in the collection. The tassel necklace can be worn three different ways. It comes in a 37-inch chain, but 7 inches is detachable, so you can wear that as a bracelet or loop it around as a lariat. A sautoir pendant in the Venetian Princess collection is a long pendant that can be worn 12 different ways. Speaking of options, all collections are available in a choice of 18k white, rose, or yellow gold.

Venetian Princess Medallion Necklace with diamonds, $4,300.

Venetian Princess Locket with diamonds, $6,900.

Diamond Byzantine Barocco Wide Bangle by Roberto Coin, $12,500.

Anyone who remembers the legendary Appassionata collection that was originally introduced in the 1990s, with its familiar woven gold motif, will be delighted to see a modified version of this design return in the new Veneto collection. There are flexible or hard-woven pieces, including bangles and rings. The look is lush and very textured. This is a perfect time for lucky charms, and Roberto’s new Medallion collection is a modern interpretation of the spirit of talisman jewelry. Medallions are great way to express your personality, with motifs drawn from the Roberto Coin DNA, including four-petal flowers, zodiacs, and initials. Each medallion hangs on a 20-inch chain that can be clasped as a lariat or worn at different lengths. Each has a bale that opens, so you can adjust its location: clip it on a Y neck or hang it as a pendant. There are also functional lockets in the collection.

And finally, one of this year’s most unique new additions is an 18k gold zipper necklace! It functions as an actual zipper, with a tongue that can be pulled up or down along tiny golden teeth. It can be adjusted to the desired length and has a clasp at the back so you can take it off without having to zip it back down again. The clasp, tongue, and little balls at the end of each chain can be set with diamonds. Bellissimo!

PERFECT FOR STACKING Layering and stacking is one of today’s hottest trends, and Roberto Coin has so many great options that span multiple collections and styles. A variety of slim stacking bracelets allow you to

3-row diamond halo ring with pink, yellow, and white diamonds, $17,600.

THE RARE AND WONDERFUL WORLD OF FANCY COLORED DIAMONDS CLEARLY Diamonds are the hardest of all gemstones and, therefore, reflect light with a brilliance that outshines all other gemstones. Colored diamonds have emerged as a favorite gemstone because of this glow. And because they are so rare, they make a unique style statement when set in jewelry. N COLORFUL atural fancy intense-color diamonds are rare: for every colored diamond found, including fancy yellow, blue, and pink, there are at least 10,000 colorless ones. When the color is very intense, it is classified as a fancy colored diamond. The deeper, purer, and more saturated colors are usually the rarest, most costly, and most desirable.

1. Strength of color: The color intensity of a natural colored diamond can be graded as Fancy Light, Fancy, Fancy Intense, or Fancy Vivid, with Fancy Vivid constituting the highest grade. The stronger the intensity of a colored diamond, the higher the value will be. 2. Rarity of color: The rarity of a colored diamond will affect its price. The more common colors, such as gray, brown, and yellow, will generally have a lower cost than rarer colors, such as pink, blue, green, purple, and orange, which occur less frequently in nature. The rarest known and most expensive color of all is red. However, very high grades of color in a yellow diamond will make it more valuable than others. 3 . Size: Colored diamonds very rarely come in large sizes. This makes them exponentially more expensive. THREEOF THEMOST IMPORTANT FACTORS IMPACTING THE PRICE OF A NATURAL COLORED DIAMOND ARE STRENGTH OF COLOR, RARITY OF COLOR, AND SIZE.

“ F For 2020, Chevrolet fulfills the long-term promise of the iconic Corvette with the introduction of the 2020 Stingray, the brand’s first-ever production mid-engine Corvette. The sum of everything that came before it, the 2020 Stingray is re-imagined to bring us a new level of performance, technology, craftsmanship, and luxury. “Corvette has always represented the pinnacle of innovation and boundary-pushing at GM. The traditional front- engine vehicle reached its limits of performance, necessitating the new layout. In terms of comfort and fun, it still looks and feels like a Corvette, but drives better than any vehicle in Corvette history. Customers are going to be thrilled with our focus on details and performance across the board.”

DESIGN INSPIRED BY RACING

The new mid-engine layout gives the 2020 Stingray: • Better weight distribution, with the rear weight bias enhancing performance in a straight line and on the track. • Better responsiveness and sense of control due to driver positioning closer to the front axle, almost on top of the front wheels. • The fastest 0-60 time of any entry Corvette ever — under three seconds when equipped with Z51 Performance Package. • A race car-like view of the road due to lower positioning of the hood, instrument panel, and steering wheel. Excellent forward sightlines throughout the vehicle for both driver and passenger. • An enhancement of Corvette’s traditional utility strengths, with dual trunks for a total of 12.6 cubic feet of cargo volume, ideal for luggage or two sets of golf clubs. • Low profile headlamps designed around all-new projectors. • Completely hidden door, hood, and hatch releases do not disrupt the sculpted design. • Large side air intakes for engine cooling and aerodynamic performance. • A-pillar shape that communicates speed and assists in visibility. • Large rear hatch that showcases the engine with seven air vents. • Quad exhaust tips located on the vehicle’s outboard ends. • Dual-element LED tail lamps with animated turn signals. True to its aeronautical and racing roots, the 2020 Stingray’s canopy-forward stance was inspired by F22s, F35s, and other modern fighter jets and Formula One racing. Other classic Corvette signatures adapted to the Stingray include a distinctive face that communicates the purpose of the vehicle’s mission, a classic horizontal crease, aggressive front fenders, and familiar positioning of the dual-element headlamps. The interior is further enhanced by: • A cockpit that has not only migrated forward by 16.5 inches but envelops the driver, conveying the high performance and aeronautic theme. • Vertical climate controls and ultra-thin vents minimize the height of the instrument panel, creating a low, spacious interior. • A new, squared-off, two-spoke, small diameter steering wheel that enables an unobscured view of the 12-inch reconfigurable cluster display.

AND AERONAUTICS The 2020 Stingray’s exterior has a bold, futuristic expression with mid-engine exotic proportions, but it is still unmistakably Corvette. It’s lean and muscular, with an athletic sculptural shape conveying a sense of motion and power from every angle. “As America’s most iconic performance nameplate, redesigning the Corvette Stingray from the ground up presented the team a historic opportunity, something Chevrolet designers have desired for over 60 years,” said Michael Simcoe, vice president of Global Design, General Motors. “It is now the best of America, a new arrival in the mid-engine sports car class. We know Corvette can stand tall with the best the world has to offer.” A supercar level of craftsmanship, premium materials and attention to detail were critical in designing every component of the Stingray. The new location of the engine is truly the focal point for the car’s design. It’s the heart of this next generation Corvette, and it sits like a jewel in a showcase, visible through the large rear hatch window. The added attention to detail optimized the appearance of every wire, tube, bolt, and fastener, similar to those found in modern track and all-road motorcycle design.
