& JD CLARA At Brown & Company, we love a love story.When JD Bowser chose to include Brown & Co. as part of a once-in-a-lifetime occasion, we were thrilled. JD and Clara Bowser, formerly Chung, tied the knot in April 2019 at the gorgeous Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee and celebrated with a weekend of family and friend filled soirées. The magical weekend kicked off with a welcome party on Friday, complete with Clara’s favorite band from college. Since JD grew up in Kansas and Clara in Marietta, it was important to the couple that their 220 guests be able to mix and mingle prior to the wedding. The welcome reception was a party all its own that led into a fun Saturday on Lake Oconee and the wedding of the couples’ dreams. Clara carefully chose a mixture of sentimental and glamorous jewels to wear on her wedding day. “The jewelry I wore on my wedding day was very special,” Clara said. “Besides my beautiful engagement ring and two diamond band — my mother-in-law, Christine, said one wasn’t enough; I love her — I also received an antique diamond ring from JD’s grandmother that Amy from Brown & Company had custom made into a necklace for me to wear on my wedding day. The Brown’s also let me borrow an amazing diamond bracelet and earrings. They were stunning.” Bride Clara was not the only one to receive something very special to commemorate the day. As is traditional in Korean custom, Clara’s family gifted JD with a Rolex purchased at Brown & Company. “I got (the Rolex) engraved with our favorite saying, ‘I love you more’,” Clara said. From the fabulous fêtes to the most sentimental nods to family and great love, the Bowser wedding was one for the books!
