T he Revuelto is evolutionary rather than revolutionary. It’s a plug-in hybrid with a traditional naturally aspirated V12 engine, an eight-speed, double-clutch transverse gearbox, and three electric motors for a total output of 1,001 horsepower. While no models have been available for testing, Lamborghini claims it can reach 62 mph in just 2.5 seconds and reach a top speed of more than 217 mph.
All the power is managed by 13 drive modes, and all-wheel drive is also available in fully electric mode for the absolute driving experience. A lithium-ion high- power battery pack powers the three electric motors. As with other performance-oriented hybrids, such as the Ferrari SF90 Stradale, the goal is not better fuel economy but exhilarating acceleration.
