Bachendorf's Magazine Fall/Winter 2025

A Day Steeped in Heritage The wedding ceremony was a deeply personal affair, held at Talley’s maternal grandparents’ family farm in Georgetown, Kentucky. A flower arch framed the 1790 stone house where Talley’s parents had married 30 years prior. The couple honored this tradition by borrowing the same iron benches from Keeneland Racecourse that had been used at her parents’ wedding. Talley’s wedding dress held a special significance, as it was a recreation of her grandmother Joy Nalty Hodges’s original Priscilla of Boston gown from 1953. With a stroke of serendipity, the original was found and brought to Suzanne Perron St. Paul’s atelier. The pearl shells from Joy’s dress were delicately removed and hand-sewn onto Talley’s new gown, serving as her “something borrowed.” The lace, imported from Lyon, France, was crafted at Suzanne’s New Orleans atelier, a meaningful detail for Talley, as every piece at her family’s company, Leontine Linens, is proudly made in the U.S.

To complement her gown, Talley chose 18K white gold 12-13mm White South Sea pearl stud earrings with diamond accents from Bachendorf’s. She also wore her mother’s heirloom pearls, which Bachendorf’s had re-strung to fit her look, further weaving her family’s legacy into her special day. The reception was a masterpiece of custom design, with ten unique sets of custom-designed linens and proprietary monogram styles created by Leontine Linens. The decor incorporated warmth and color, with beautiful wallpaper panels from Iksel Decorative Arts and a custom dance floor inspired by a quatrefoil motif. The tables were set with plates from Lisa McCarthy and Alex Papachristidis’s Everyday Elegance collection. Mid-reception, Talley changed into a final, fun look by Suzanne Perron St. Paul, paired with her City boots. She made a dramatic entrance in a cape featuring an appliquéd “P” — one of Leontine Linens’ signature monogram styles. Her accessories for this final look were a pair of Bachendorf’s archival vintage Mikimoto diamond and pearl earrings, a perfect finishing touch to her fashion-forward ensemble. Talley and Will’s wedding was a beautiful testament to a love story that began with a custom-designed ring and unfolded into a weekend rich with bespoke details and cherished family traditions.
