Founded in 1860, TAG Heuer has long been at the forefront of precision timekeeping, with a legacy rooted in innovation and motorsport. The brand was an early pioneer of dashboard chronographs for cars and aircraft, and in 1916 introduced the Mikrograph, the world’s first stopwatch accurate to 1/100th of a second. By the 1960s, TAG Heuer had become a fixture in Formula 1 paddocks, partnering with top teams and drivers. In 1969, the debut of the revolutionary Calibre 11, the first automatic chronograph, cemented TAG Heuer’s place in watchmaking history. That racing spirit still drives the brand today, from track-tested technology to collections inspired by high-speed performance.

M O N A C O Introduced in 1969, the TAG Heuer Monaco broke convention as the world’s first square-cased automatic chronograph. Its bold design and cutting-edge movement made headlines, but it was Steve McQueen’s iconic appearance wearing the Monaco in Le Mans that cemented its legend. Today, the Monaco remains a symbol of fearless innovation and racing heritage.
