Breitling Navitimer Introduced in 1952, the Breitling Navitimer was the first wristwatch designed specifically for pilots to combine a chronograph with a computational slide rule. It quickly became one of the brand’s most recognizable models, celebrated in both aviation circles and popular culture. In 2022, Breitling began updating the Navitimer collection, expanding beyond chronographs to include simplified time-only versions and travel-ready GMTs. Still, the Navitimer chronographs remain iconic, easily recognized by their circular slide rule, beaded or notched bezel, and trio of subdials.
