PEARLS: RARE BY NATURE

Our pearl collection is a tribute to rarity and refinement, spotlighting the world’s most extraordinary varieties. South Sea pearls, renowned as the rarest and most valuable of all pearl types, are prized for their impressive size, thick nacre, and soft, luminous luster. Grown in limited regions and requiring up to four years to develop, these pearls are found in shades ranging from optic white to deep, honey gold. Most pearls on the market today are cultured, grown in pearl farms with careful human guidance. Natural, unenhanced pearls, however, form entirely without intervention, making them both rare and highly coveted. As a result of their natural occurrence, many unenhanced pearls are formed as baroque pearls, or pearls that are non-round and irregular in shape. Because these pearls are seldom found in modern harvests, most strands available today are antiques, sought by collectors for their purity and unique structure. Their scarcity and untouched beauty make them some of the most desired varieties in the world.

At Long’s, we specialize in sourcing some of the finest natural and cultured South Sea, baroque, and golden Tahitian pearls on the market. Each piece in our collection is chosen for its individuality and provenance, ensuring every pearl is genuine and of heirloom quality.
