...much like your own inner glow
Billions of years ago, nature put elements under extreme pressure and heat, creating the natural diamonds we find today. During their formation, diamonds picked up certain elements within the earth’s crust, including minute traces of nitrogen. These nitrogen atoms formed perfect triangles, which reflect light in a truly unique way in every diamond. Some diamonds were even left with sufficient amounts of these perfect triangles, which absorb and transform invisible UV light into a soft, luxurious blue glow. This glow is both remarkable to observe and symbolic of the diamond’s unique signature — much like your own inner glow.
Fluorescent Diamonds Are… RARE
Of the diamonds that are submitted to the AGS laboratories, less than 6% of them have a “medium” to “very strong” luminescent glow, with just 0.5% receiving the highest grade of “very strong” fluorescence. NATURAL Fluorescent diamonds only occur in nature. This unique characteristic was achieved through the containment of certain elements during the diamond’s formation. This means you get both a rare and authentic stone or piece of jewelry. INTENSE Most people are familiar with the 4Cs of a diamond (clarity, cut, color, and carat), but fluorescence is independent of the four basic diamond measurements. Instead, we measure fluorescence by intensity. The higher the intensity, the stronger the diamond’s natural glow. RADIANT Each Luminous Diamond® is designed to reflect your radiance. That’swhy they use fluorescent diamonds- -Because only these diamonds can take on different looks in a different light. Stunning by daylight and dramatic under UV light, these diamonds have a radiant shine that you won’t find anywhere else. In the past, fluorescence has been the unspoken avoided characteristic of diamonds. But, now, we see these stones in a whole new light! So, come check out these rare natural beauties by Luminous Diamonds® at IDC today!
