YOUR WEDDING IS ONE OF THE BIGGEST DAYS OF YOUR LIFE. IT ’S IMPORTANT TO EXPERIENCE AND ENJOY IT WHILE IT HAPPENS. REMEMBER, NO MATTER WHAT ELSE IS GOING ON, YOU’RE THERE TO CELEBRATE THE LOVE YOU AND YOUR SIGNIFICANT OTHER SHARE. AFTER ALL THE PLANNING AND DREAMING ,

YOU TWO DESERVE TO HAVE A TRULY MAGICAL NIGHT .

EAT AND BE MERRY While fitting into your dress is important, after all there’s a deadline for alterations, staying healthy is more important. Make sure you’re consuming enough food and water to stay energized and hydrated. It’s easy to skip breakfast on the morning of the wedding when there is still so much to be done, but your energy will fade mid-day if you don’t eat. Wake up, take a deep breathe, eat a balanced breakfast, and only then, start your to-do list. ASK YOUR CATERER TO SET ASIDE EXTRA FOOD Speaking of food, it’s all too easy to get so sucked into the festivities of the wedding that you’re unable to eat any of the delicious food you picked out and paid for. To avoid such a disaster, plan ahead. Don’t assume you’ll be one of the lucky ones that has time to sit down and enjoy a meal; instead, ask the caterer to set aside a plate for both you and your new spouse; this way, the two of you can enjoy it together after your guests have seen you off.

DON’T TAKE YOURSELF TOO SERIOUSLY Your pictures don’t have to be perfect. Things don’t have to go exactly according to plan. The night, while magical, might have a few hiccups, and that’s okay. Don’t spend the evening worrying about every little detail. Toast your new spouse. Dance with your guests. Enjoy the music. Snack while you can. Eat a piece of your cake. Laugh. Take silly pictures. Create lasting moments that you’ll remember long after the night is done. FOCUS ON THE MOMENT AT HAND There’s a lot going on that demands your attention on your wedding day. The photographer wants you to pose a certain way; everyone wants to see you and your new spouse dance together for the first time as newlyweds; your friends and family want to tell you how happy for and proud of you they are. These are all wonderful pieces of a beautiful puzzle, but it’s easy to get so distracted by what’s expected of you that you don’t actually stay in the moment. If you feel yourself becoming overwhelmed or focusing on the next task at hand, take a deep breath, look around, and remember what the day is all about.
