F or nearly a century, Fredric H. Rubel Jewelers has stood as a symbol of timeless elegance, family tradition, and exquisite craftsmanship. As we celebrate our 95th anniversary, we take a look at our illustrious journey — a journey that began with an unyielding commitment to offering the finest jewelry and timepieces and building a family that extends beyond the name. It all started with a dream in a modest shop in San Bernardino, where Bernard and Rose Rubel laid the foundation of the Rubel legacy — Crescent Jewelers. Within just a few years, their relentless dedication and commitment to quality saw a second outlet opening in 1940. Fredric, Rose and Bernard’s son and our late father and grandfather, inherited more than just the family name; he adopted the very spirit and passion of the business. A zest for jewelry was evident in him, even at a young age. As the years passed, Fred’s life took a beautiful turn as he met and married Joan in 1957. Their combined vision and hard work led to the inception of Rubel’s third store in 1972. Located in a San Bernardino mall, this store wasn’t just a retail outlet but a testament to their love for beauty and architecture.
