Julie: We are constantly looking for top tier products and brands such as Van Cleef & Arpels, Cartier, Bulgari, Tiffany & Co., etc. One-of-a-kind period pieces are also something we are excited to carry and receive. We are always looking for quality gemstones and diamonds — we love incorporating color into our collection! Can you tell us more about the buying and selling process?
What advice would you give someone who is purchasing vintage jewelry or a pre-owned timepiece for the first time? Julie: Think about what you want your starting collection to look like; how do you want to add on to it? It’s also important to shop with a trusted jeweler. At Long’s, maintaining the integrity of the jewelry is our priority; we refurbish and authenticate a majority of the pre-owned products we receive so they’re practically like-new. We’re fortunate to have one of the widest assortments of pre-owned timepieces in New England, and one of our knowledgeable sales associates will be on hand to assist you in the start of your journey.
Julie: Most of the jewelry we buy comes from private collections. This is the first time these pieces are available to purchase in the secondary market, which is important and exciting to us because it means the jewelry is fresh to our vintage jewelry collectors. James: We’re incredibly proud and grateful to say that all of our pre-owned timepieces are sourced organically through our current customer base. This allows us to stand behind the product, knowing it comes from trusted sources. Our watch experts then authenticate and test the timepieces to ensure they’re up to standard, and we offer a two-year guarantee with every watch.
