HOW DID YOU TWO MEET? We met in our first year of medical school at University of Miami during orientation and became good friends while on a medical mission trip to the Dominican Republic. We started dating in our third year of medical school, and the rest is history! WHEN DID YOU KNOW HE/SHE WAS THE ONE FOR YOU? I feel like we knew pretty early on given that we had a long friendship preceding our relationship. We had to make decisions regarding the next steps in our medical careers and quickly realized that we both could not picture our lives without each other.
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN TOGETHER? Five years.
HOW AND WHERE DID HE PROPOSE? Torin proposed by Gramercy Park near one of our favorite ice cream spots. When he first moved to New York City one year after me, we sat on a stoop here eating ice cream and having our first serious conversation about marriage and a future together. The proposal was a complete surprise. It was so special to have both of our families and many of our friends in town to celebrate with us.
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE WESTON JEWELERS FOR YOUR RINGS? Danni and Samantha are best friends from childhood, so the Dikes are basically family. It only made sense that Weston Jewelers would be the choice to have such an important part in this milestone in our lives. We knew we could trust them to create something beautiful and spec- tacular to commemorate our love.
WHEN AND WHERE ARE YOU PLANNING YOUR WEDDING? Our wedding location is still up in the air, but will likely be sometime in 2026. We just got engaged in the end of August, 2024!
