HAPPY FOR HOURS

french martini HOLIDAY CHEER!

“I’D PUT MY MONEY ON THE FRENCH MARTINI FOR 2022. I’VE HAD MORE REQUESTS FOR THOSE IN THE LAST FEW MONTHS THAN IN ALL OF 20 YEARS PRIOR.” — Naomi Schimek, Bar Director at Soulmate

INGREDIENTS 2 oz. Vodka 1/2 oz. Chambord 1 1/2 oz. Pineapple juice

T he “French” moniker is due to the cocktail including Chambord black raspberry liqueur, which has been produced in France since the 17th century. Chambord, with it’s strong raspberry base, goes perfect with anything chocolate so enjoying this drink before or after dinner with dessert is pleasing to the pallet. This 1980s recipe was created by venerable bartender and distiller Allen Katz. Retro classic cocktails are all the rage this year so impress your friends with this perfectly refreshing drink this holiday season.

INSTRUCTIONS Step 1

Add the vodka, Chambord, and pineapple juice into a shaker with ice and shake until well-chilled.

Step 2

Fine-strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
