Alberts Diamond Jewelers Magazine Autumn_Holiday 2022

GIVING BACK

G iving back to the communities we serve has always been at the heart of Albert’s Diamond Jewelers’ business. Continuously trying to better Northwest Indiana and the Chicagoland area is something that is deeply rooted in our Albert’s mantra. Year after year, the Halpern family regularly supports organizations such as NWI Parkinsons, the Foodbank of Northwest Indiana, The Humane Society, TradeWinds Services, Service League of Northwest Indiana and most notably, their fundraising efforts for Multiple Sclerosis (MS). In June 2022, the Halpern family took their philanthropic efforts international. The family launched a fundraising campaign with the World Central Kitchen (WCK) to help the devastating hunger crisis in Ukraine. Fred and Josh pledged $100,000 of their own money to provide food to the people affected by the war. Albert’s MS auction has raised over $2.6 million through their efforts, with 100 percent of the proceeds donated to research for the disease. This charity hits close to home for the Halpern family, as Donna Halpern, the wife of Fred Halpern, has lived with MS for more than 40 years. the heart
