established in 1972 by Peter and Mary Deneen in Saint Paul, MN. Their signature mugs feature engraved medallions celebrating businesses, both large and small, from coast to coast. You may recognize their mugs from visits to National Parks, museums, bed & breakfasts, inns, and restaurants, or even the R.F. Moeller coffee bars. While their early days were spent in a two-car garage, today they occupy over 17,000 square feet and employ more than 50 skilled craftspeople. It takes this entire studio of highly skilled individuals working as a team to maintain the level of quality and craftsmanship that goes into Deneen Pottery’s custom stoneware mugs and tableware each day. Over 24 pairs of hands touch each hand-thrown pottery piece that begins as a lump of clay and ends as a twice-fired piece of custom Deneen Pottery.
