A A diamond from Brown & Company is more than just an engagement ring — it’s a symbol of legacy, craftsmanship, and dedication. Since 1974, when Frank Brown founded the business, we’ve proudly remained family-owned and operated, upholding traditions that stretch back nearly a century. Frank’s grandmother, Marie Burns, opened The Jewel Box in Spokane, Washington in 1923, and today, his daughter, Sara Beth Brown Prendeville, serves as president, ensuring that Brown & Co. continues to offer only the finest natural diamonds. For over 50 years, we have carefully hand-selected diamonds and designed rings that capture the beauty, rarity, and value of true craftsmanship. CELEBRATING
THE JEWEL HERITAGE JEWEL
THE GRAND GRAND EXPECTATIONS
The Jewel engagement ring design is all about the “jewels.” Not only does the ring have a beautiful center solitaire diamond held in a classic cathedral-style setting, it is surrounded by more jewels. A ribbon of smaller diamonds cascades down the top of the shank, surrounding the center diamond with exquisite highlights. The Jewel is lovingly named after The Jewel Box, founded in 1923 by Marie Burns, grandmother of Brown & Company founder Frank Brown.
The Grand is named after the Grand Historic Davenport Hotel in Spokane, where Marie Burns, grandmother of Brown & Company founder Frank Brown, started her boutique, The Jewel Box, in 1923. Inspired by timeless elegance, this “grand” statement piece incorporates a center solitaire in a cathedral setting, surrounded by rows of diamonds on the shank that are graduated in size and perfectly matched. The Grand is a perfect expression of the grand expectations you have for the future with your “Most Loved” one.

THE TERRY PERFECT HALO
THE CLASSIC 3 PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE
THE 1974 SIMPLY DAZZLING
THE DAVENPORT TRIED-AND-TRUE SOLITAIRE
The Terry design is lovingly named after our own Terry Brown, the jewel-loving matriarch of the Brown family and mother of Brown & Co. president, Sara Beth. The focus of this engaging design is the perfectly proportional halo of diamonds that surround the center diamond. Each diamond in the halo is set with small claw prongs, allowing maximum light return and dazzle. Terry herself dons a halo-style engagement ring, along with a fabulous halo-style right hand ring.
The Classic 3 is a three-stone ring, rich in symbolism because it represents a couple’s past, present, and future. It could be three round diamonds, an emerald diamond with traps or side diamonds, or it could be three gemstones of your choice — it can be customized. Every time you look at this ring, it will remind you of the beautiful journey you have shared with your loved one so far and the joyful days ahead.
The 1974 design is named after the year Brown & Company was founded, but it represents our modern interpretation of the classic solitaire style with a contemporary feel. It is the sleek, sophisticated alternative to more elaborate ring styles, giving a single fabulous diamond pride of place at the top of the shank. The claw prongs that hold the diamond are designed to let in maximum light, allowing the diamond to release the most brilliant light return possible.
The Davenport style is a nod to the Brown family history and our commitment to using the world’s finest diamonds. The Davenport ring, named after the Davenport Hotel, signifies the deep connections between two people and between family members, and the power of exquisite jewels to celebrate your love. It is a classic solitaire with a cathedral setting in a feminine swoop-basket style. Elegant, pear-shaped prongs embrace the center diamond.
