TOGETHER, THROUGH EVERY SEASON WITHOUT YOU, NONE OF THIS WOULD BE POSSIBLE
Friends, it’s that special time of year again — welcome to the 2025 holiday issue of Alson Jewelers Magazine. As we look back on the year, it’s impossible not to feel a deep sense of gratitude. With our first full year in our newly expanded and remodeled store under our belts, we’ve come to appreciate that this space still feels both brand new and yet comfortingly familiar. Every detail, every corner, was designed with you in mind because it’s your celebrations, milestones, and everyday moments that truly bring our store to life.
The year 2025 also marked a new chapter for our family. Following in the footsteps of Jesse, Chad’s oldest son, we welcomed Chad’s son, Kyle, and David’s two sons, Jason and Matthew, to our team. These four are officially ushering in the next generation at Alson. Watching them embrace our traditions, while bringing their own energy and perspective, has been a source of pride and joy for all of us. It’s a reminder that our legacy isn’t just about jewelry — it’s about people, connection, and the stories we share.
Through every season, your loyalty and trust have been the foundation of our journey. Whether you’ve been with us for generations or you’re just discovering Alson, we are deeply thankful for the chance to be part of this community both inside and outside the store. So, as you turn these pages, know that you are at the center of everything we do. Here’s to another year of making memories, celebrating special occasions, and adding a little extra sparkle to everyday moments.
With gratitude,

THE ALSON STORY
By Jennifer Brugh
One Year Down, A Lifetime to Go ALSON JEWELERS CELEBRATES ONE YEAR IN OUR NEWLY RENOVATED SPACE
I It’s been one year since Alson Jewelers opened the doors to our newly renovated home, but it’s been 94 years in the making. Our story has been written across five generations of family ownership. Over the past twelve months, right alongside our family, we’ve had the privilege of watching our customers and friends take in our next chapter. I
20 | ALSON JEWELERS MAGAZINE
Our history wall, appropriately named “Through the Years,” has become a crowd favorite. Here you will find sepia photographs, the evolution of our ring boxes, early tax return papers, and carefully preserved mementos that highlight each Alson chapter. “It takes you from the 1870s to today,” says fourth generation co-owner David Schreibman. “People linger there and immediately understand who we are and where we came from. It truly is a remarkable story.” Beyond that wall, you’ll notice the showroom opens like a boulevard — watches to one side, diamonds to the other, hospitality everywhere. And watching wide-eyed first impressions turn into awestruck smiles has been a big highlight for our family since completing this transformation. “Every day we meet with new faces and longtime clients who say there’s nothing this state-of-the-art and progressive, not just in Cleveland, but throughout their travels,” shares fourth generation co-owner Chad Schreibman. “Hearing that makes every
decision feel absolutely right.” While our new showroom spans 11,400 square feet, it was still essential to us that it felt like home — a place where every client feels welcome and comfortable. We never wanted to lose that family touch. “We wanted it to be not just a luxurious experience, but more of a place for our clients to feel so comfortable that they would want to just hang out and spend some time,” says Chad’s son Jesse. That thoughtful intimacy carries throughout the entire new store experience. Whether you’re enjoying a cappuccino in the lounge, taking in the beautiful view from the rooftop, exploring a new Swiss timepiece, or retelling your love story in the bridal section, there’s a space for everyone within our new store. David’s son Jason says, “I often hear that the store is so beautiful, but it isn’t pretentious. It’s relaxed, thoughtful luxury, where our clients will feel well taken care of at every turn.” Making clients feel welcome and comfortable is only telling half the story. From the very beginning, our family philosophy has
been to provide world-class service with an unmatched selection. Behind the scenes, you’ll find the precision hums of expert watchmakers and jewelers offering on-site authorized service and craftsmanship inside state-of- the-art workshops. “The compliments are constant,” explains David’s son Matthew. “But what matters most is what they’re confirming for us — that we’re delivering an honest, exceptional experience you can’t find anywhere else in Cleveland.” One year in and our new store feels both fresh and familiar, a love letter to our past and a promise to our future. The showroom and history wall may take center stage, but our purpose and legacy are felt and seen throughout the entire space. “People are coming here because they want great service and fine jewelry with a family touch, so we give them that experience,” says Chad’s son Kyle. “It’s an honor seeing so many people come into our store. It’s really, really special.”

DESIGNER SPOTLIGHT
By Jennifer Brugh
Roberto coin
Some designers create jewelry. Others redefine it.
A Visionary in the Art of Jewelry
For Roberto Coin, fine jewelry is not just an accessory but an expression of artistry, culture, and individuality. Since founding his brand in 1996, Coin has dedicated himself to creating pieces that transcend time, bringing Italian craftsmanship and global inspiration together in a way that has captivated the luxury world.
From the beginning, diversity and creativity have been at the heart of his vision. Unlike other designers who build their brand around a single recognizable motif, Coin has always sought endless reinvention, ensuring that no two collections feel the same. His mission is clear: rather than offering the same piece to every woman, his goal is to craft a different masterpiece for each, celebrating the unique beauty and personality of the wearer.
This philosophy extends beyond design and into the very DNA of his brand. Each creation is marked by a hidden ruby, a signature detail inspired by ancient Egyptian legend. Coin was drawn to the belief that rubies, worn close to the skin, bring prosperity and happiness. That is his personal wish for every woman who wears his jewelry — an intimate, unseen gesture of good fortune.
38 | ALSON JEWELERS MAGAZINE
Pairing these philosophies and creations, Coin manages to balance tradition and innovation, making his brand one of the most dynamic forces in modern jewelry. At his Italian atelier, master artisans — some with decades of experience, others with fresh, modern perspectives — work side by side to bring his visions to life. Their process is one of meticulous craftsman- ship, where time-honored techniques merge with cutting-edge advancements to create jewelry that is both timeless and groundbreaking.
Beyond the world of jewelry, Coin is recognized as a pioneering spirit in fashion and design. His collections have graced the red carpet, appeared on the pages of top luxury publications, and influenced trends across the industry. Yet, despite his global recognition, his approach remains deeply personal. Every piece tells a story — a reflection of his own endless curiosity and passion for the arts.
FOR ROBERTO COIN, CREATIVITY IS FREEDOM, AND JEWELRY IS MORE THAN JUST AN ADORNMENT — IT IS A STATEMENT OF IDENTITY. WITH AN EVER-EVOLVING VISION AND AN UNRELENTING DRIVE TO SURPRISE, HE CONTINUES TO SHAPE THE FUTURE OF LUXURY, ONE MASTERPIECE AT A TIME.

TRAVEL SPAIN
By Gary Wollenhaupt
waits A Coastal Splendor SPAIN’S
S Spain continues to rise on every list of trending travel destinations in 2026, and for good reason. You can’t go wrong with European cuisine, plentiful wine, golf courses, and a favorable exchange rate for American travelers. You could fill a book with all that Spain has to offer, and many people have done so. We’ll focus here on two extremes of Spain’s incomparable coastal destinations: Costa Brava and Andalucía, two regions on the north and south of the coastline.
44 | ALSON JEWELERS MAGAZINE
COSTA BRAVA First, let’s explore Costa Brava. The name “Wild Coast” refers to the coastal region of northeastern Spain, specifically in the province of Girona. It’s a popular destination for European travelers escaping the dreary winter months to seek sun, sand, and flavorful dishes. After flying into Barcelona, it’s easy to travel by car throughout Costa Brava. Explore secluded beaches and dine with the locals at a quaint fishing village, sampling the catch of the day and handcrafted wines you won’t find anywhere else. The weather and pace of life in the Costa Brava have attracted many notable figures over the years, including the unlikely pair of Albert Einstein and Salvador Dalí. The artist was born in Figueres, which is home to the Dalí Theatre-Museum, which Dalí designed himself. For more Dalí dalliances, visit the Dalí House and Museum in nearby Portlligat. The noted physicist lodged at La Residencia, the first hotel in Cadaqués, which opened in 1904. The current owner knew Dalí and transformed the boutique hotel into an homage to his old friend. The hotel overlooking the sea houses more Dalí works than the museum. To find your way off the beaten path, rent a motorboat in Blanes. You can explore bays and beaches that are only accessible from the water. Spend a day snorkeling and picnicking on your own to create unique memories. The main attraction is the region’s pristine beaches, from Lloret del Mar to Calella de Palafrugell. Experience luxury with private catamaran cruises, jet skiing, and parasailing for breathtaking panoramic views of the Mediterranean. In the rush to the beaches, don’t overlook the region’s other attractions: national parks like Cap de Creus, world-class golf courses, and rustic villas. You’ll find destinations ready to cater to travelers who value privacy,
ANDALUCÍA For the other extreme, head south to the Andalucía region. You’ll see why the Spanish developed the custom of the siesta or afternoon rest. Temperatures average 97°F in summer afternoons, and late evenings will see 95°F on the thermometer. Follow the local customs and retreat to a cool spot to wait for temperatures to drop. Pop back out into the city in the evening and follow the crowds to a late dinner. Some restaurants take reservations as late as 11 p.m. Tap into the tapas culture or reserve time for lunch or dinner at a Michelin-starred restaurant. You can explore on your own or book high-end itineraries featuring luxury accommodations (such as Hotel Alfonso XIII in Seville and Alhambra Palace Hotel in Granada), private car transfers, Michelin-starred meals, and exclusive tours of landmarks like the Alhambra, Ronda, and Córdoba’s Mosque- Cathedral. You can sign up for curated experiences such as horse carriage rides, sherry tastings, and authentic flamenco shows, all vetted by local experts for a seamless luxury expedition. For offbeat luxury in Andalucía, stay at boutique fincas (estates) like Finca Buenvino in Huelva’s chestnut forests, castle hotels in Jaén, and Moorish-inspired boutique hotels in Cádiz. The focus is on understated elegance, artisanal experiences, and immersion in local culture, from olive oil tastings to private wine cellar tours in Jerez. In Costa Brava and Andalucía, Spanish traditions and identity run deep through the language, cuisine, and palpable confidence of the people. Whatever you’re looking for in a vacation, Spain can help you find it.
natural beauty, and personalized activities. In Costa Brava, the focus is on blending adventure with relaxation, ensuring memorable and scenic moments for discerning travelers.

A New Chapter for the Santos de Cartier Watch
The Santos de Cartier watch is a cornerstone of modern horology, born from innovation and continually reimagined to suit the times. This latest evolution honors the origins of the iconic timepiece with the introduction of a refined small model, thoughtfully sized at 27 mm x 34.5 mm. Its proportions pay tribute to the earliest Santos watches created for pioneering aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont in 1904 — the very first modern wristwatch, designed for ease of use during flight. Remaining faithful to the collection’s style, this new interpretation preserves the aesthetic codes that have defined the Santos de Cartier for more than a century: a square case, visible screws, and fluid lines. The industrial nature of the screws contrasts elegantly with the sophistication of the new sunray-effect dial, offering subtle radiance within a streamlined silhouette. Though more compact, this edition carries the same presence and polish as the larger Santos models. Available in all-steel, yellow gold and steel, or solid yellow gold, the watches are powered by high-autonomy quartz movements, tailored to the smaller case dimensions. Each version is water-resistant to 30 meters and features Cartier’s signature interchangeable strap system, allowing for effortless transitions between a bracelet and leather strap. The leather options, fitted with ardillon buckles, are crafted in smooth calfskin for the steel and two-tone models and in alligator for the all gold edition. With its precise design, wearable proportions, and enduring pioneering spirit, the new Santos de Cartier small model represents yet another milestone in the story of a true Cartier icon.

VALHALLA
ASTON MARTIN
BILLS THE
I If your only exposure to Aston Martin is the silver birch DB5 that Bond, James Bond, drove in Goldfinger , it’s time to get up to speed. The new Aston Martin Valhalla is a halo car for the brand, offering an alternative to Ferrari and Lamborghini supercars. While the traditionalist English automaker stays close to its roots, the company has fully embraced the hypercar ethos, blending Aston’s bespoke sensibilities with performance- driven methodologies.
VALHALLA AS THE
For Aston, the Valhalla represents a series of milestones. It’s the company’s first series- production mid-engined supercar and first production plug-in hybrid with dedicated electric vehicle (EV) range capability. If you want one, get in line, as production is limited to 999 units, with vehicles scheduled to roll off the assembly line in fall 2025. Final prices haven’t been announced, but expect a window sticker north of $1 million.
ULTIMATE DRIVER’S
SUPERCAR, AND
THEY’RE NOT WRONG.

You won’t find an ejection seat or oil-spraying gadgets like James Bond had at his fingertips. Instead, you’ll find Formula 1 influences under every panel and active aerodynamics that tame the wind at the car’s electronically limited top speed of 217 mph. It’s literally a race car for the road. The Mercedes-AMG sourced twin-turbo 4.0L V8 and three electric motors drive the two-seater from zero to 100 kph (62 mph) in only 2.5 seconds. Twin electric motors on the front axle facilitate torque vectoring for unheard-of steering control. Reversing will be handled by the electric motors. The electric motors and gas engine combine for all-wheel drive performance through the all-new 8-speed dual clutch transmission (DCT).
The active aerodynamics maintain over 1,300 lbs of downforce at high speeds and feature DRS and air brake functions straight from the F1 series. Active aerodynamics reduce the angle of attack gradually on the front and rear wings to bleed excess downforce as speed increases, ensuring consistent aerodynamic balance for maximum driver confidence. At startup, Valhalla selects Sport mode as the default, with the driver able to manually choose EV Pure, Sport+, and Race as alternative drive modes. Each drive mode is carefully calibrated to provide the driver with a distinct and differentiated experience. The driving experience will likely start and end with the vehicle in silent EV mode, with about 9 miles of fully electric range. As the battery depletes its charge, Valhalla automatically switches from EV to Sport mode. The Sport mode engages the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine transforming the Valhalla into hybrid supercar, combining the instantaneous torque of the electric-motor equipped front axle with the exhilarating power of the V8. Carbon ceramic brakes deliver the necessary stopping power, along with driver aids like anti-lock brakes, dynamic stability control, and hydraulic brake assist. For a thrilling ride on the open road, turn the dial to Sport+. For exhilarating thrills on the track, switch to Race mode for ultimate performance, engaging active aerodynamics that include the rear T-wing. Under braking, the rear wing will deploy as an air brake to ensure optimal stability. The interior cossets two individuals in carbon racing seats, with contrasting stitching and the logo embroidered on the headrest. While more luxurious than any racing car, it’s still a space that’s all business. While the Valhalla’s design is markedly different from that of classic Aston Martins, its DNA is unmistakable. Flawless, uncorrupted lines, combined with innovative high-downforce active aerodynamics, deliver a car that shines on the road and thrives on the track.

Tudor
INTRODUCES NEW Black Bay
MODELS
T
The Black Bay line has become one of Tudor’s most recognizable pillars, known for pairing tool-watch durability with vintage design cues. This year, Tudor expands the collection with new models that build on the Black Bay’s signature aesthetic while pushing it in new directions — some subtle, others more daring. Rooted in Tudor’s dive watch history from the 1950s and the “Snowflake” hands of 1969, the Black Bay line draws from history while embracing modern materials and manufacturing. Whether you prefer compact cases or bolder builds, GMT functionality or clean time-only layouts, the new Black Bays prove there’s no single formula for a modern classic. The Black Bay 68 is the largest model yet, featuring a 43 mm case with METAS certification and a choice of a blue or silver dial. The Black Bay 58 returns in all-burgundy with a Master Chronometer movement and the option of a steel bracelet or rubber strap. The Black Bay Pro gains a crisp opaline dial for improved contrast, while the Black Bay 54 “Lagoon Blue” introduces a fresh water-inspired hue in a compact 37 mm case. The Black Bay Chrono continues Tudor’s long chronograph legacy, now offered with either a 3-link or 5-link bracelet, both equipped with the T-Fit clasp. Each Black Bay is water-resistant to 200 meters and powered by a Tudor manufacture movement, rigorously tested and built to last. It’s a line that is designed for all wrists, all seasons, and all types of collectors.

THE IWC INGENIEUR
First launched in 1955, the IWC Ingenieur was created as a tool watch for scientists and engineers, built around the brand’s first automatic movement and designed to withstand magnetic fields. But it was in the 1970s, under the creative direction
of legendary designer Gérald Genta, that the Ingenieur took on its now- iconic form. With its distinct H-link integrated bracelet, grid-patterned dial, and screw-down bezel with five recesses, the 1976 Ingenieur
SL redefined the collection as a key player in the emerging category of luxury sports watches. Nearly 50 years later, IWC continues to build upon that legacy through the Ingenieur Automatic collection, a modern reinterpretation that combines Genta’s industrial design language with contemporary materials and proportions. Available in both 40mm and 35mm sizes, the two versions share the
same sculptural case, integrated bracelet, textured dial, and straightforward time- and-date functionality.

The Ingenieur Automatic 40 serves as the foundation for the modern lineup, offered in stainless steel, titanium, or 18k rose gold, with dial options in black, grey, silver, blue, or aqua. Inside, the IWC-manufactured Caliber 32111 automatic movement delivers a 120-hour power reserve. The Ingenieur Automatic 35 — a recent addition to the range — introduces a more compact alternative, also featuring the signature grid-pattern dial
and available in steel or 18k rose gold. Powered by the self-winding Caliber 47110, the Ingenieur Automatic 35 offers a 42-hour power reserve. Together, these models illustrate how IWC has reimagined one of its most celebrated designs for a new generation, retaining the signature geometry and technical spirit that made the Ingenieur an icon while expanding its appeal across styles and wrist sizes.
