F For three generations, Brinker’s Jewelers has held ourselves to the highest jewelry industry standards. Our foundation has been built on servicing the products we sell, developing personal relationships with our customers, and establishing generational partnerships with our suppliers. This year brought a significant change with the announcement that our headquarters in Evansville, Indiana would no longer be designated as an Official Rolex Jeweler. Our nearly 20-year partnership ended solely because “the Evansville, Indiana market does not fit the future global brand vision for new Rolex timepieces,” per Rolex, SA. Looking ahead, all customers in the Tri-State area wanting to purchase a new Rolex timepiece need to form a new relationship with an Official Rolex Jeweler. The closest cities to Evansville that will continue to have an Official Rolex Jeweler are Louisville, Indianapolis, Nashville, and St. Louis. Rolex maintains an extensive network of official jewelers and service centers, carefully selected for their professionalism and expertise. Brinker’s Jewelers is still proud to be called an Authorized Rolex Service Center. Rolex still authorizes our
team of talented watch professionals to service your timepiece to the exact Rolex standards. While we are disappointed that Brinker’s Jewelers is no longer designated as an Official Rolex Jeweler — allowed to sell new Rolex timepieces to our customers — we are still allowed to sell Brinker’s Jewelers Certified Authentic Timepieces from Rolex and many other wonderful watch brands. We have acquired many timepieces that have undergone our certification process and are available for purchase — our collection of fine timepieces is
you can easily tell we have a passion for Rolex and all timepieces — that passion, along with servicing them, will not change! MARKING MOMENTS

Birthstone Beauties Show them your true colors! Whether aquamarine represents the March birth of your first child or peridot brings out the green in your eyes, the stones you choose, and the stories they tell, are all yours. Each month delivers a fresh hue and a new reason to stack, mix, and wear them your way. Here’s your month-by-month guide to birthstones that sparkle with personal style and timeless beauty.
JANUARY — GARNET Deep, dramatic, and a little mysterious, garnet’s rich red hue turns up the heat in the coldest month. It symbolizes protection and strength, but mostly it just looks really good in gold. FEBRUARY — AMETHYST Purple reigns with the amethyst: regal, serene, and seriously eye-catching. Once favored by royalty, this dreamy quartz brings a pop of color and a touch of calm to your jewelry box. MARCH — AQUAMARINE As cool and clear as a tropical tide, aquamarine captures the easy elegance of early spring. This pale blue beauty is perfect for stacking or standing alone with breezy sophistication.
JUNE — PEARL Elegant, timeless, and effortlessly cool, pearls bring a soft glow and subtle charm to summer style. Whether classic white or a modern hue, pearls are always a polished choice. JULY — RUBY Fiery, bold, and full of passion, ruby doesn’t whisper, it makes a statement. The perfect red for summer nights and confident moments. Hot month, hotter stone. AUGUST — PERIDOT Fresh and zesty, peridot adds a citrusy spark to any jewelry story. This bright green gem is like sunshine in stone form: playful, punchy, and surprisingly versatile. SEPTEMBER — SAPPHIRE True blue never goes out of style. Sapphire brings depth, drama, and a dash of mystique to everything it touches. It’s the cool classic your jewelry box deserves.
OCTOBER — OPAL Soft white with a kaleidoscope of hidden color, opal is October’s ethereal surprise. No two are alike, and that’s exactly the point. Whimsical, artistic, and one of a kind.
NOVEMBER — TOPAZ Available in a rainbow of shades but best known for golden honey tones, topaz glows with richness and warmth. It’s a versatile gem that transitions beautifully from day to night. DECEMBER — TANZANITE A rare gem with a velvety violet-blue hue, tanzanite brings an air of sophistication to winter’s sparkle. Discovered only in Tanzania, it’s as unique as it is beautiful.
APRIL — DIAMOND Classic, brilliant, and undeniably luxe, the diamond is April’s sparkling star. Whether you go big or layer delicate accents, there’s no wrong way to wear a little forever. MAY — EMERALD Lush, vibrant, and full of life, emerald is the ultimate green dream. Its rich hue has long symbolized renewal and love. We just call it chic with a side of drama.

The modern bridal shopper is sophisticated and smart — they want a ring that is both practical and beautiful, a design that suits their lifestyle and thrills their heart. But how can anyone find their perfect ring in a world with so many options? Step one is to determine what, exactly, you’re looking for — and it’s okay to ask for help! Let’s tackle some common dilemmas for engagement ring shoppers and see what solutions we can find. Q: Everyone I know has a round diamond in their engagement ring. I want something different! What should I ask for? A: If you like angles, consider an Asscher cut: a gorgeous square style famous for its “hall of mirrors” effect. If you prefer curves, soft elongated shapes like pear, marquise, and oval diamonds are glamorous and so flattering to the finger.
Q: I’m a vet tech, so I spend all day working with animals. I love my job, but it’s messy and chaotic. What’s an engagement ring I can wear safely at work?
A: You’re going to want a low-profile ring with a diamond that sits low on your finger so it won’t get caught on excited puppy paws! Consider a bezel setting: this sleek style has a low circle of gold that secures the center stone to the band, instead of dainty prongs, so it holds up better under physical stress.
Q: I want my engagement ring to feel special and unusual, but I’m not a big fan of elaborate styles, and I don’t want a dark ruby or sapphire, either. A: Have you considered a yellow diamond? They work in any kind of setting and they look like wearable sunshine!
16 | BRINKER’S JEWELERS MAGAZINE
Let our artisans create a fresh new look for your heirlooms
Q: My boyfriend wants to propose to me with his grandmother’s ring, but I hate it! I feel awful, but it’s so busy and I like minimalist jewelry. A: A jeweler can take the center diamond out of the family ring and put it in a chic new solitaire setting for you, either before the proposal or after the wedding, if you’d like to keep grandma’s setting for the big day. You’ll still have the sentimentality of the heirloom diamond, but in a brand new ring that feels true to you.
Q: Why do engagement rings always have diamonds? I like colorful gemstones!
A: Diamonds may be the traditional choice, but there’s no reason you can’t have a colored gemstone engagement ring! Kate Middleton did it, and so did Jackie Kennedy. Just remember that not all gems are strong enough to resist chipping or cracking with daily wear.
Q: How can I make my engagement ring feel more meaningful than any other ring I own? A: What about a secret message? A jeweler can engrave your wedding date, your names or initials, or even an inside joke or meaningful phrase on your ring. You can even get half of a phrase on your ring and the other half on your partner’s ring to really tie things together.
Q: I like the look of multiple bigger diamonds. Not a halo, but I still want my engagement ring to feel like an engagement ring. What should I look for? A: I think you’d love a toi et moi or a three stone ring! A toi et moi has two large center stones rather than one, and it’s the perfect way to represent you and your partner being joined forever. A three stone style has one big diamond with a slightly smaller stone on either side and is said to represent the past, present, and future of a relationship.

Natural Diamonds
STUNNING BEAUTY, LASTING VALUE
Before ever gracing your fingers, earlobes, necklines, and wrists, natural diamonds have undergone a transformation unlike any other. Formed deep within the earth under unimaginable heat and pressure, they can take up to 3.5 billion years to come into being. This incredible journey from the heart of the planet to your jewelry box is a testament to time, care, and patience: values as precious as the stones themselves. Beyond their beauty lies a deeper worth. Natural diamonds are not only investments in style but also in lasting value. Due to their rarity and continued demand, diamonds often appreciate over time, making them an asset you’ll never regret.
Lab-grown diamonds, while visually similar, lack this ancient origin and the mystique that comes with it. That difference in authenticity is one reason these inferior stones do not retain their value over time. Their rapid, factory-controlled creation process is not as environmentally friendly as was originally claimed, and it cannot replicate the natural story or intrinsic worth that earth-forged diamonds possess. In contrast, the natural diamond industry has embraced a new kind of brilliance: from ethical mining practices to sustainability initiatives, there is a growing commitment to protecting our planet and honoring the people behind every gem. It’s a reflection of our shared responsibility — to ourselves, to each other, and to the earth. With a rich heritage and a legacy as old as the stars, natural diamonds are more than just jewelry. They are heirlooms, investments, and evidence of enduring beauty born from the depths of time. In every facet, they tell a story — one of resilience, rarity, and timeless elegance.
NATURAL DIAMONDS HAVE CAPTIVATED US FOR CENTURIES — AND FOR GOOD REASON. THESE BREATHTAKING GEMS ARE MORE THAN JUST DAZZLING ADORNMENTS; THEY ARE RARE SYMBOLS OF ENDURANCE, TRADITION, AND LOVE.

For Roberto Coin, fine jewelry is not just an accessory but an expression of artistry, culture, and individuality. Since founding his brand in 1996, Coin has dedicated himself to creating pieces that transcend time, bringing Italian craftsmanship and global inspiration together in a way that has captivated the luxury world. From the beginning, This philosophy extends beyond design and into the very DNA of his brand. Each creation is marked by a hidden ruby, a signature detail inspired by ancient Egyptian legend. Coin was drawn to the belief that rubies, worn close to the skin, bring prosperity and happiness. That is his personal wish for every woman who wears his jewelry — an intimate, unseen gesture of good fortune. A Visionary in the Art of Jewelry roberto coin
diversity and creativity have been at the heart of his vision. Unlike other designers who build their brand around a single recognizable motif, Coin has always sought endless reinvention, ensuring that no two collections feel the same. His mission is clear: rather than offering the same piece to every woman, his goal is to craft a different masterpiece for each, celebrating the unique beauty and personality of the wearer.

must-haves diamond 5 WHY SHOULD YOUR EARLOBES EVER BE BORING WHEN YOU COULD THROW ON A PAIR OF DIAMOND STUDS? necklace or gown. Because why should your earlobes ever be boring when you could throw on a pair of diamond studs?
T
There’s nothing quite like a diamond: that scintillating, bright white shine that lights up both your smile and your look. Select a diamond of different size or style and it can take you from the grocery store to a night on the town, from a board meeting to the school drop-off lane. But which dazzling diamond delights do you need to have waiting in your jewelry box for any situation? Here are the five essential diamond must-haves. Diamond studs are many collectors’ first serious piece of jewelry, and for good reason — this standout staple is perfect for so many situations! Smaller studs are just the thing for everyday errands and low- key occasions, but scale up the size and you’ve got immediate glamour, appropriate to pair with the fanciest
A diamond tennis bracelet is the perfect place to start your wristwear collection: a captivating neutral to garland your arm in shimmering stones. But why stop at just one? A tennis bracelet is the perfect complement for a fine timepiece, stack of gold bangles, or colorful bracelets of any style. A diamond tennis bracelet will elevate anything next to it, and the effect only intensifies if you add multiple tennis bracelets at once!

Hoop earrings are the ideal choice when you need your diamond earwear to have a little more structure than studs. Any face looks instantly luminous when framed in two twlinkling arcs of diamonds! Choose snug little diamond huggies for more casual moods or elegant, elongated hoops when you really want to add dimension and bring the bling.
like a captive star you can wear
A classic diamond pendant feels like a captive star that you can wear at your clavicle, a bite-sized taste of brilliance tamed and made your very own. Enjoy the sparkle solo by wearing it on its own or pair it with more diamond necklaces, your favorite sentimental charms, or even pretty pops of gorgeous gemstone color for a layered look. For even more versatility, try wearing your diamond pendant on chains of different lengths!
You might think of anniversary bands or wedding rings when you see a diamond band, but these glittering rings are an eye-catching choice for any finger. Layer diamond bands of different styles and stone shapes for a ring stack with interesting texture, or pair diamond bands with gemstone ones if you want to add in more color! How about a stack with the birthstone of each member of your family, bordered by a diamond band at the top and bottom? It’s an approach that is as chic as it is meaningful.

JOHN HARDY MARKS 50 YEARS WITH BOLD NEW VISION FROM REED KRAKOFF
T
The Balinese-born brand celebrates its golden anniversary with heritage reissues, new stores, and a fresh creative direction.
This year marks half a century of John Hardy — a major milestone for the Bali-based jewelry house known for artisanal craftsmanship, cultural symbolism, and sustainability. Founded in 1975 by Canadian artist John Hardy, the brand gained recognition for its handwoven chains, mythological motifs, and commitment to community and the
environment. Now, under the creative leadership of Reed Krakoff, John Hardy enters a bold new chapter rooted in heritage but oriented firmly toward the future. To mark its five-decade legacy, the brand has launched two commemorative collections: Icon 50 and Spear 50. Icon 50 reimagines John Hardy’s beloved heritage chain as a modern
statement piece, available in sterling silver, gold, and pavé diamond variations. Spear 50 revisits one of Krakoff’s own designs from his early tenure at the house, embuing it with Balinese symbolism and a refined, sculptural aesthetic. Together, the collections reflect a brand at the crossroads of legacy and innovation.

THE EVOLUTION CONTINUES WITH SPEAR SLIM, A CONTEMPORARY 4 MM CUFF DESIGNED FOR EFFORTLESS STACKING — A NOD TO THE BRAND’S ABILITY TO MEET MODERN STYLE PREFERENCES WHILE MAINTAINING ARTISANAL INTEGRITY.
Krakoff, who joined John Hardy as creative chairman in 2022, brings decades of industry experience and a minimalist eye honed at Coach and Tiffany & Co. Since taking the helm, he has introduced the high fine Artisan series, launched in fall 2024, showcasing rare diamonds and precious gemstones in 18K yellow and white gold. He’s also expanded existing collections like Surf, Pebble, and Love Knot, and ushered in collaborations with names including Athena Calderone (spring
2025), Todd Snyder, and Wölffer Estate. His approach has balanced reverence for traditional Balinese craftsmanship with a clean, contemporary design language, helping John Hardy reach new audiences while deepening loyalty among longtime fans. The anniversary coincides with physical expansion, including new retail locations at Rockefeller Center in New York and Miami’s Design District, both opened in late 2024. These flagship stores underscore the brand’s
growing luxury positioning, alongside a successful shop-in-shop at Saks Palm Beach Gardens and a robust wholesale presence. As John Hardy celebrates 50 years, it continues to honor the values on which it was founded — community, artisanship, and sustainability — while embracing change through visionary leadership. With Reed Krakoff steering the creative direction, the brand is poised to not justcelebrate its past but to define the next era of modern jewelry design.

T he recent craze for vintage watches and re-editions of mid-century designs has intensified in recent years, and along with that, smaller watches have become a trend. In the 1960s and ’70s — which many see as the glory days of watch design — wristwatch cases rarely exceeded 40 mm, and timepiece lovers have acquired a new appreciation for these smaller cases, combined with the vintage aesthetic. TAG Heuer’s glass box Carrera Chronograph is a prime example of what luxury sports watch brands are doing to bring back the spirit of iconic vintage watches.
the TAG HEUER CARRERA GLASS BOX CHRONOGRAPH
REVISITING AN ICON
The glass box was inspired by an original Carrera collection from the ’60s, including models that ranged in size from 36 mm to 40 mm. The new version is 39 mm, smaller than the 42-45 mm sizes that have been produced in the past few years. One of its salient features, as the name suggests, is the sapphire crystal shaped liked the domed hesalite crystals found on Heuer Carrera models from the 1970s. Now, the crystal has been redeveloped so that the curve flows seamlessly over the tachymeter scale that runs around the inner dial, or flange. The scale has been curved too, further contributing to the watch’s legibility and ensuring that tachymeter can be read from a wider range of angles. The Carrera’s signature blue dial makes an appearance on one of the two re-editions, matched by a blue calfskin leather strap. The second has a racier, black-and-silver “reverse-panda” dial, the nickname given to black watch dials with high-contrast white or silver subdials. The reverse-panda model is a coveted feature found on some of the most collected Heuer Carreras of the 1960s. Both new models contain the brand’s next-generation chronograph caliber, the automatic Caliber TH20-00, with an 80-hour power reserve.

MYTH BUSTING
VINO EDITION
As much as writers try to cut through the endless noise perpetuated by wine snobs, there’s still a lot of misleading info out there. Take the old story about sniffing corks. This age-old ritual only yields a snootful of cork and no revelation, yet too many people still think they’re supposed to do it. Myths about everything from wine storage to wine pairings abound, and people go on believing them, because nobody tells them otherwise. Consider what follows a myth-busting forum:
MYTH: Red wine is best with red meat Although the protein in red meat can soothe a savagely tannic red wine, there’s no rule against drinking white wine. Don’t let the establishment lay guilt or shame on you, be the rebel. In fact, the creaminess of chardonnay is kinda refreshing with a juicy grilled sirloin. MYTH: Serve wine at room temperature A long time ago when wine rules were born, room temperature in European wine cellars meant 62-66 degrees Fahrenheit. Here in the new world, room temperature falls in the low-to-mid-70s range, and even higher in the south. But keep in mind that aroma and flavor of wine change radically at different temperatures, and too much heat kills off a wine’s subtleties and interesting characteristics. To demonstrate, try chilling a bottle of red wine for several hours (or better yet, freak out a waiter by asking for an ice bucket with your red). Taste it right after opening, then again every 10 minutes. As it warms up, different flavors will emerge. This is also pretty remarkable with white wines, which are often served way too cold in restaurants. MYTH: All red wines can age Fact: 90-95% of all wines are meant to be consumed within the first two years after bottling. For the most part, the remaining age-worthy percentage is cabernet sauvignon, syrah or grenache based wines, sturdy pinot noirs, some barrel-aged chardonnays, and dessert wines. Aging tames tannins and acidity and allows the natural fruit to come forward. MYTH: Reserve wines are better than regular wine In California, the word reserve gets thrown around a lot, but there’s no official definition. This means Joe Blow’s Winery can slap the word on the label and charge extra for no reason at all. Although some wineries use it legitimately for their better bottlings, without official regulations to set quality standards, be wary.
MYTH: Single-Vineyard wines are better Single-vineyard wines (those that feature the name of the vineyard on the label) may be trendy, but they don’t guarantee quality. These wines express the character of a certain vineyard — good or bad. Blending wines made from the fruit of multiple vineyards can actually improve a wine by balancing out its flavors, acidity levels, etc. MYTH: Rinse your glass at wine tastings I have no idea where this ritual came from, but there’s no need to rinse. Essentially, this exercise will only water down the flavor of the next wine. There is, however, one situation where
you’d want to rinse: if you’re changing from red to white wine because the red will discolor and change the flavor profile of the delicate white.
MYTH: Opening the bottle lets the wine breathe
Oxygen exposure can help tannic reds mellow out, but only if you pour the wine into a glass or decanter. Simply pulling the cork isn’t gonna do squat because the space between the bottle neck and the wine is too small to give the wine enough air contact. Fruity reds and most whites don’t usually need to breathe. The MONTA Oceanking, evolved DIVE IN:
Based in St. Louis, Missouri, MONTA has gained an enthusiastic following thanks to its collection of Swiss- made watches that reinterpret vintage tool-watch designs with modern performance. The Oceanking, first released in 2016, was the model that introduced the brand and quickly set the tone for MONTA’s reputation: thoughtful design, robust engineering, and top-tier finishing. Now in its third generation, the Oceanking dive watch remains MONTA’s flagship and best expression of its philosophy.
By Celine Simon
The latest-generation Oceanking showcases significant advancements over its predecessors, both mechanically and aesthetically. It sports a 40.5 mm stainless steel case that’s 12 mm thick, topped with an entirely redesigned, patent-pending bezel. The bezel rotates with 120 satisfying clicks, and its insert includes new indices and typeface, accompanied by a luminous pip at 12 o’clock. The refreshed dial benefits from enlarged applied hour markers, more luminescence, and wider hands — all for improved visibility. Identical to previous versions, the newest Oceanking includes a date window at 6 o’clock and boasts an impressive 300 meters of water resistance. Inside is the automatic MONTA Caliber M-22 movement, manufactured, assembled, and tested in Switzerland. MONTA’s bracelet — widely regarded as one of the best in the business — also saw a subtle update but retains fully articulated links, a six-position micro-adjust clasp for instant sizing, and half- links for precise fitting. The Oceanking is available in classic black with a ceramic bezel and a crisp blue with an aluminum bezel, each a clear expression of MONTA’s commitment to building modern tool watches with enduring appeal.

IRELAND
Shhhh...
and a little golf
If you’re a golfer, you’ve dreamed of a golf trip to Ireland. And if you’ve never been, I can tell you that whether you play a round or not, Ireland is about the most beautiful, rugged place on the planet. The southwest coastline is one of the most scenic drives I’ve taken in my many travels domestic and internationally. It is a step back in time awash in green — green everywhere you look! Vista upon vista, there is a stunning view around every turn on the Wild Atlantic Way. Wind the coast from Ballydehob up to Glengarriff, then make your way around the Ring of Kerry. Enjoy the pubs and music of Killarney (you’ll sit right next to the locals and they will sing their hearts out) before an astonishing loop around the world-reknowned Dingle Peninsula. HONEY, HOW ABOUT A TRIP TO IRELAND? SURE, I CAN PUT THAT TOGETHER IF YOU’RE REALLY INTERESTED! OK, SO NOW THE PLAN IS FULLY HATCHED AND APPROVED BY THE BUDGET OFFICE.
Road along the scenic coast of western Ireland. Slea Head, Dingle Peninsula, County Kerry.
And the people! Oh my, the people! The Irish love Americans. You can’t help but feel you’re in a cartoon or movie, because everything you’ve heard about Ireland is true. The names of places and people are right out of a novel. There is no ruse here. Do you get to play some amazing golf courses in Ireland? Yes, but your significant other will thank you for a lifetime of memories, as well. Words cannot do this place justice. You’ve got to love a win-win situation! On with the real business at hand A golf trip to Ireland offers an unparalleled experience, combining world-class courses with the aformentioned rich cultural heritage and stunning landscapes. There are just a few things to know to make the trip all the more special.
The Ring of Kerry. Ross Castle was built in the late 15th century by local ruling clan the O’Donoghues Mór (Ross), though ownership changed hands during the Second Desmond Rebellion of the 1580s to the MacCarthy Mór.
