ADVENTURE RIDGE Great fun is not just relegated to skiing the magical slopes all day. After a half-day of skiing, go visit Adventure Ridge. There, you can try out other exhilarating on-mountain activities, like snow tubing and ski biking, with the whole family or your special someone. SPA DAY Restorative manicure, pedicure, massage, facial, and body treatments will relax your mind, body, and spirit. Spas in both Lionshead and Vail Village‑ will help you feel refreshed and invigorated, and may be necessary after a few falls on the slope or a late night on the town.
SNOWMOBILING Whether you’re going out for an hour or the whole day, Vail offers some of the best snowmobiling in the world. Choose from the Vail Pass or Camp Hale areas, which combined offer over 140 miles of sweetly groomed snowmobile trails. WHERE TO STAY? There are many lodging choices, from 5-star to simple, but we recommend you begin looking at the finest available, like the luxurious Ritz Carlton, Four Seasons Resort, Manor Vail Lodge, Solaris Residences, Sonnanalp Vail, The Arrabelle, and The Sebastian. I mean, you are going to Vail, so let’s do it as right as possible.
For dinner we cannot say enough about the Montauk Seafood Grill, which has been a part of the Vail restaurant scene for three decades. Located in Lionshead, this establishment boasts an impressive menu. Do try the miso-glazed sea scallops with crispy soba noodle cake or the steamed Alaskan crab with buttermilk whipped potatoes, and then finish off with the double chocolate bread pudding with toasted coconut gelato and house-made chocolate sauce with toasted macadamias. Yes, and yes! Other can’t-miss spots include Sweet Basil, Matshushia, bōl (which includes a bowling alley), and La Nonna Ristorante.
