The Breitling Chronomat B01 42 is a Breitling standout because of its signature rouleaux-style bracelet, which is designed and constructed unlike any other. The Chronomat is a true sports watch, with the Breitling chronograph caliber 01, which has a 70-hour power reserve, and you can plunge to depths of 200 meters while wearing it. The original Navitimer Cosmonaute has returned to earth 60 years after astronaut Scott Carpenter wore it in space! Breitling recently resurrected the customized Navitimer it made in 1962 for astronaut Scott Carpenter, who wore it in space on May 24, 1962. Carpenter was one of the Mercury Seven, a crew of military test pilots selected in 1959 by NASA to become astronauts in its first human-crewed spaceflights. The Cosmonaute was the first Swiss wristwatch to make the journey to space. The commemorative Navitimer B02 Chronograph 41 Cosmonaute Limited Edition has the same all-black dial and 24-hour scale, but the bezel is platinum and the caseback is open to reveal a modern chronograph movement, caliber B02. The bridge is engraved with the words “Carpenter,” “Aurora 7,” “Mercury 7” and “3 orbits around the earth.” It is limited to 362 pieces.
