METRO-CHIC DAVID YURMAN’S NEW JEWELRY CONVEYS DOWNTOWN NEW YORK’S LIVELY ARTISTIC ENERGY

D avid Yurman is constantly sketching new jewelry designs, sometimes on a napkin at a café and other times at his desk or the kitchen table. Those drawings were the starting point for the brand’s stylish new Mercer collection, which was inspired by downtown New York’s bustling rhythm and artistic energy and named for the street in SoHo. For the Yurman family, every jewelry collection is a personal expression. The Mercer collection pays homage to David and his wife Sybil’s downtown roots. In SoHo, they began their careers as artists: back in the 1960s and 1970s, they were among the neighborhood’s early residents — David’s first studio was on Sullivan Street and Sybil worked at the Max Hutchinson Gallery on Greene Street. Their son Evan, the company’s president, grew up on the streets of Soho and along the Tribeca waterfront. “There was something carefree but still endearingly grave about the work that came from there then,” said Evan about the downtown artistic vibe. “The work ignored the old boundaries separating art from dance from music from architecture, and instead found fresh ground in the interstices between art and life.” The neighborhood’s dynamic energy fueled the family’s lasting passion for art, design, and craft, and breaking boundaries.

Evan Yurman

DESIGN IS A FAMILY AFFAIR Each member of the family has creative input on every new collection. That family spirit caught the attention of actress Scarlett Johansson, another native New Yorker and the brand’s ambassador. “What’s really touching about the David Yurman story is this familial love and passion,” said Johansson. Recently, she layered on different jewelry pieces, which Sybil pointed out were each designed by one of the Yurmans. “Sybil was so excited to see the pieces all together,” she said. “The pieces are very much like a family, just this mesh of beautiful things that is different but goes together.” Johansson grew up seeing David Yurman’s advertising campaigns and jewelry around New York City, which shaped her own jewelry style. “You would always see the beautiful black and white photos and it was this effortlessly chic woman whose jewelry was part of her everyday life. She had this glamourous appeal but was never trying.”

Scarlett Johansson

18 RUMMELE’S JEWELERS MAGAZINE

The Mercer collection is an evolution of that effortlessly elegant Yurman style. It began with David’s drawing of a reimagined oval link in a more sculptural, sensual shape. That link was forged in 18k yellow and rose gold and burnished silver and combined with the company’s iconic Cable motif and diamonds. The lively spirit of downtown New York is expressed in the curated mix of metal, proportion, and shiny and matte finishes. “Over the decades, our linked chains have become iconic, and so emblematic of the brand,” said Evan. “It’s really a part of our foundation as a company, but also as a family. One of the first things my dad sculpted for my mom was a direct- welded necklace.” The Mercer’s oval links also

carved in wax by one of the company’s in-house master craftsmen, handmade and hand-finished like a piece of sculpture. “You can feel in the pieces that they are handcrafted and cared about, and it feels very personal,” said Johansson. “It’s not something that’s mass manufactured.” That attention to detail and individualistic quality is embodied in the Mercer Mélange bracelet, which combines 18k rose gold and burnished silver oval links with smaller Cable links, a Cognac diamond link, and toggle closure with white diamond detail. Designs also come in elegant yet bold 18k yellow gold and diamond choker length necklaces, drop earrings, and multi-row rings. It’s instantly recognizable as David Yurman and seamlessly integrates with past collections. “Each piece has real intention to it and spirit about it and is made with a lot of love,” said Johansson. “You feel that from the brand, and it’s really authentic.”

ell known as the clubbing capital of Europe, Ibiza also boasts incredible scenery and sexy, isolated beaches. Whether you want to party on or chill out, this exotic destination has all you could want and more. The place is swarmed every summer by a multinational force of party-going fun and sun seekers. Beachside discos, clubs, and bars ensure the place never sleeps. The clubbing season starts in mid-June when the opening parties bring the towns of San Antonio and Ibiza Town, the island’s capital, to life. The good times continue all day, all night, and well into the next morning hours, through late September. Unlike many other glittering resort communities, Ibiza Town is actually a living, breathing place with an interesting old quarter with ample interests for families and older visitors alike. The island effectively closes down through the winter, which is when people seeking something more tranquil and picturesque tend to visit. Keep in mind that although you’re on an island in the Medi- terranean, highs are only in the 60s November through April. Ibiza Town has several museums worth visiting — among them are the Archaeological Museum and the museum of the Necropolis del Puig des Molins. You’ll also find plenty of tourist shops and the luxurious Casino de Ibiza.

DINING

Ibiza offers a variety of culinary delights. The town centers tend to offer street food for hungry clubbers, but away from the main tourist districts, there are restaurants and cafés serving luscious food from all over the world, including traditional Spanish and Ibizan dishes. A favorite lunch spot is the quaint Cala Gracioneta, a beach restaurant in San Antonio, where you will likely hear live music while enjoying their famous paella or cuttlefish croquettes. A romantic dining experience under lights strung between the trees beckons at Aubergine by Atzaró. The restaurant features a farm to table menu with endless delicacies. For the best view of Dalt Vila at sunset, dine at Café Montesol at the Montesol Experimental boutique hotel. Enjoy a truly visual feast and the best wine selection on the island.

GETTING AROUND

ACCOMODATIONS

In Ibiza, taxis are a useful way to travel around the towns and visit nearby sites and attractions. Citizens of EU member countries require a national driving license to drive cars in Spain. Citizens from non-EU member countries need an international driving permit as well as their national driving license. Beware of what appear to be shortcuts on maps; these often turn out to be unpaved roads or mountain passes. Lastly, don’t forget, it is an offense not to carry some form of identification, such as a passport or driving license.

The finest places to stay are tucked away in quieter locales, where you can meditate and find that inner peace you desire. OKU Ibiza is a luxury retreat with serene swimming pools, plenty of yoga classes, and an inviting menu of fusion cuisine with a great location near beaches, clubs, and restaurants. Nobu Ibiza Bay is poised on the Talamanca Bay, giving it sweeping views of the bluest ocean waters on the island. No place on Ibiza offers this kind of luxury in such a laid back, sushi-serving, waterfront hotspot. Six Senses Ibiza is hidden away on a hillside off a winding dirt road. Attention to detail is absolutely unmatched at this magical wellness resort established to rest and unwind at the most sophisticated level. Plenty more are worth looking into, including 7Pines Resort, Atzaro, Grand Hotel Montesol, and the Los Enamorados.

As you explore inland, you’ll find the landscape is harsh, dry, and rocky. Discover a pure and simple Mediterranean culture, including the impressions of indigenous populations that inhabited the island thousands of years ago, such as the famous wall paintings of Ses Fontelles. The Cova de can Marcá is also well worth exploring. It is a cave system located above San Miguel Bay that is over one hundred thousand years old and was once used by tobacco and liquor smugglers. It’s home to an impressive collection of stalactites and stalagmites. The saltpans of Las Salinas are one of the island’s most popular tourist attractions. Every year, some 2,500 cubic meters of seawater flood a network of manmade channels; the water is then allowed to evaporate under the relentless summer sun, leaving behind a pinky-white salt crust that glistens as the sun sets over it every evening. The result is truly spectacular.

MARCO BICEGO ACADEMY TRAINING THE NEXT GENERATION OF MASTER GOLDSMITHS

M arco Bicego, the renowned Italian fine jewelry brand celebrated for its nature- inspired collections, has embarked on an extraordinary new journey: the Marco Bicego Academy, a prestigious training program designed to nurture and develop new master goldsmiths and professional jewelry artisans. This unique initiative combines formal classroom teaching, structured hands-on training, and personalized coaching to enhance the brand’s specialized production capacity and create a legacy for generations to come. In collaboration with recruitment agency Gi Group and the Vicenza Professional School of Art and Crafts, the academy has initiated a comprehensive artisan recruiting and selection process to identify talented individuals to learn the revered craft of goldsmithing. Throughout an intensive and immersive 120-hour training program, artisans learn and develop their handcrafting skills under careful guidance from the industry’s finest. By passing on this old-world technique to the next generation, Marco Bicego is enshrining its heritage and influencing jewelry-making for decades. “The importance of learning and mastering a craft seems to be a recommendation from the past,” says Marco Bicego, founder and creative director of the eponymous brand. “Instead, it is very current, and it can be prestigious.”

Marco Bicego, founder and creative director.

“We have launched this academy to enhance the quality of our work and make our territory attractive again,” he says. “It is part of our mission to preserve and elevate historical savoir-faire, supporting the bond with our local community and the territory where our goldsmith tradition originates.”

A Marco Bicego master goldsmith utilizes a modern burin tool to skillfully engrave the fine lines synonymous with the brand onto a gold ring.

24 RUMMELE’S JEWELERS MAGAZINE

From backgrounds diverse in experience and expertise, every artisan to attend the academy embarks on a transformative journey, mastering old-world techniques. One of those techniques is burin engraving, an exquisite distinctive handcrafted process synonymous with the brand’s heritage. Relying on an ancient tool, the burin engraving technique dates back to the 15th century, with Maso Finiguerra being one of the first notable Italian goldsmiths to utilize the process. With quick, meticulous motions, artisans scratch into gold, leaving behind fine lines that produce a smooth yet captivating brushed texture. More than 5,000 hand movements go into each design, and no two pieces are alike. That makes each necklace, earring, and ring one-of-a-kind. Bicego is revered for his ability to fuse ancient traditions with contemporary creativity. He has developed this signature style that resonates with women seeking refined yet unconventional luxury for their everyday lives. His designs draw inspiration from the organic shapes found in nature, the allure of 18k yellow gold, and the captivating radiance of precious gemstones.

Present in more than 50 countries worldwide, Marco Bicego has become one of the world’s most prestigious jewelry brands. Now, as the company embarks on this remarkable journey to nurture a new generation of master artisans, the brand reaffirms its commitment to excellence, innovation, and the preservation of time- honored craftsmanship.

Another innovation this season is bold textures. Whether specialty diamond-cut grooves or wavy rows of gold, textures create depth and dimension, making these Kate collection designs even more striking. Also making a statement are the brand’s signet rings, featuring bold baguette diamonds surrounded by pavé-set gems, while its gold rings and bracelets offer an edgier vibe with two diamond snake-like tails. A new take on tennis bracelets and necklaces, in the Bailey collection, is attention-grabbing as well. “We have revisited the bezel setting and given it pointed ends that embrace emerald-cut diamonds.” Another trademark of Shy Creation is its high level of quality craftsmanship and the use of the finest natural diamonds. But its commitment to customers doesn’t stop there. Not only can they be assured that they have a beautiful piece of jewelry, but their purchase also helps people in mining communities around the world. When it comes to ethical sourcing and social responsibility, Shy Creations holds itself to a higher standard. A member of the Responsible Jewellery Council, the brand nurtures relationships with suppliers and partners to promote responsible business practices throughout its supply chain.

“OUR JEWELRY SPEAKS TO THE WOMAN WHO TRUSTS HER OWN FASHION SENSE,” adds Kathy, noting that among the bestsellers are jewels that can be stacked and layered, mixed and matched. “Each person can experiment to create her own look, her own style.” Examples are seen in the brand’s many beautiful bracelets and bangles that can be stacked to create different widths, or its delicate necklaces that can be layered to create a look ranging from bold to delicate. And when it comes to layering, Shy Creation makes it even easier by attaching multiple chains, with or without diamonds, into a single gold or diamond-studded look. These pre-stacked creations offer a “simpler way of having a beautiful, layered look in one necklace or in one stacked bracelet,” says Kathy.

TIME THE MANY COLORS OF

LUXURY WATCHMAKERS HAVE DISCOVERED THE POWER OF COLOR!

Bold colored straps and dials were once the trademark of quartz fashion watches, but now luxury watch brands have discovered the color wheel, and they are taking it to the next level. It’s no longer just about pink straps and purple tinted dials — although there is plenty of that — but infusing components of the watch with permanent color. That means new case materials, anodized or illuminated bridges and other components of the movement, colored dial plates that have been treated with vibrant enamel and miniature painting, and, of course, plenty of dazzling gem setting, including various applications of rainbow sapphires. The result is a blast of intense, joyful, edgy color that is beyond refreshing. The combination of hand-craftsmanship, mechanical movements, precious metals, colorful gemstones and high- watchmaking finishes such as grand feu, champlevé, or plique-à-jour enamel are a winning formula. Not only do they add up to unrivalled beauty but they also add value. That makes luxury watches more collectible and sought- after by aficionados than ever before. Among the new introductions for ladies, pink is hot right now — to match your pink diamonds! — and purple is emerging in unlikely places, not just on ladies’ watches but on some daring men’s pieces. The hottest colors for men include blue, green, and salmon. Salmon is especially interesting from a collectible point of view. The color is often used on special editions, with high complications or platinum cases — watches that are very limited and highly coveted. Salmon dials are also a craze in the vintage sector — the color was popular in the 1940s, and pieces made by luxury brands from that period are hot. Here are a few examples of how color is heating up the luxury watch market right now.

ROLEX OYSTER PERPETUAL CELEBRATION Rolex has pulled out all the creative stops in its 2023 collection, including this joyful take on the traditional Oyster Perpetual. The dial is lacquered with 51 bubbles in bright colors: turquoise blue, candy pink, yellow, coral, red, and green. Each color is applied and fired separately, followed by the application of black lacquer borders on each bubble. Sizes begin small, at 31 mm, and there are also 36 mm and 41 mm sizes. All cases are steel, and movements are automatic.

28 RUMMELE’S JEWELERS MAGAZINE

SANTOS DE CARTIER The Cartier Santos is one of the great classics of watch design, always appropriate for any occasion. Green dials started to appear on watches a few years ago when Pantone named it the color of the year and made it representative of all things ecological. It also just happens to look great on the wrist. On the steel Santos, it adds a pop of color to an otherwise classic aesthetic.

BREITLING PREMIER CHRONOGRAPH

As Breitling’s most important heritage watch, the Premier represents the brand’s transition from producing tool watches for the military in the 1940s to creating more elegant chronographs for the wider market. The salmon dial is a nod both to its vintage roots and its modern, trendy vibe.

BREITLING

taps its heritage

REVISITING THE PREMIER, DUOGRAPH, AND AVI

M ost Swiss luxury watches are inspired by vintage pieces that hail from the days when watchmakers in the Swiss Jura mountains invented everything that still counts as the foundation of mechanical watchmaking. Most top brands have catalogs rooted in this heritage. A great example of a brand whose modern timepieces are inspired by the past is Breitling, and the Premier Duograph is one

of its most important new releases. First introduced in 1943, the Premier was one of the first chronograph watches made for the public rather than for pilots and military professionals. The Premier Duograph was one of the earliest rattrapante chronographs designed for the wrist. Breitling decided to relaunch the Duograph because it is the most complex variation of the chronograph. The new Duograph is a modern interpretation of the original, with technical updates, including an in-house movement, the Breitling B15. The Premier B01 Chronograph is another modernized heritage piece from the brand. In 1943, Breitling decided to create a chronograph that was not only a tool watch but also a style statement. The result was the Premier, and it was a hit. Reintroduced by Breitling in 2021, the Premier Heritage chronograph collection revived the elegant, wrist-friendly model. This year, Breitling added six new references to the Premier B01 Chronograph 42 collection, all newly powered by the self-winding Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01. They include new dial shades in salmon, blue, green, black, and cream. and a choice of alligator leather straps or seven-row metal bracelets. Breitling preserved distinctive vintage- Premier design details, including the smooth fixed bezel, twin-register dial, streamlined rectangular pushers, and applied Arabic numerals.

The new Breitling Premier B01 Chronograph 42 collection.

No mention of Breitling’s heritage is complete without a word about the AVI Co-Pilot. In 1953, Breitling introduced an aviator’s watch that became the model for other aviator watches ever since. It was called the Ref. 765 AVI, and later the Co-Pilot, because it was considered the perfect tool for aviators with its rotating 12-hour bezel to record flight times. The AVI Co-Pilot was all about legibility, with a large dial, outsized Arabic numerals, and a minutes counter that could be read at a glance. This year, Breitling introduced three new Classic AVIs inspired by the original 1953 issue, and one inspired by a 1964 model. The color schemes of the four watches are designed to honor four of history’s greatest aircraft: the North American Aviation P-51 Mustang, the Vought F4U Corsair, the Curtiss P-40 Warhawk, and the de Havilland Mosquito. The introduction of the Breitling Caliber 23 chronograph movement further trims the profile and makes the Classic AVI attractive from a value perspective, as well.

SAVING LIVES

WHETHER IT'S SNUGGLES OR PLAYTIME, ANYONE WHO’S ADOPTED A PET CAN ATTEST TO THE MANY BENEFITS OF RESCUE.

THE GIFT THAT KEEPS ON GIVING First and foremost, adoption often saves more lives than just the adopted pet. Millions of cats and dogs end up in shelters every year in the United States alone. Adopting gives your new pet a loving home, and it also makes room for another cat or dog in the shelter or rescue. On a purely practical level, you’ll likely be getting a pet that has already been spayed/neutered and vaccinated. If an adult or senior dog is more suited to your lifestyle, they’ll likely be house-trained and will only need a training refresher to settle into their new routine. But the benefits go so much further. HEALTHIER LIVING Adopting a pet can offer numerous health benefits, whether psychological, physical, or emotional. Recent studies find animal-assisted interventions (AAI) with shelter pets can help humans better manage psychological distress, such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Pet companionship can also make us feel less isolated and lonely. Physical activity with our pets, such as taking regular walks, makes us healthier overall. Studies show that pet owners are more physically active than non-pet owners and that pets can especially help older adults get the daily amount of exercise they need. The activity obviously benefits our adopted furry family members, as walks and games can help them feel more confident and less stressed while giving them physical and mental stimulation. Not as obvious may be the benefits to their human companions who join them on daily walks and playtime. It's good for your heart — in more ways than one! who who? saves

“THE GREATNESS OF A NATION AND ITS MORAL PROGRESS IS JUDGED BY THE WAY ITS ANIMALS ARE TREATED.”

MAHATMA GANDHI

FINDING A GOOD SHELTER A good rescue center will prepare a newly adopted dog or cat for their new home and take time to spot and solve any behavior problems. They will help you find the right match, ask you detailed questions, schedule a home visit, and may even help you train your dog. They may also schedule visits follow-up visits to ensure the pet is being looked after and thriving in their new home. If you’re looking for references, ask your veterinarian and any local animal charities. HOW TO CHOOSE? Adoptable pets — of all ages and sizes — have so much to offer. To make sure both you and your new pet can make the most of the bond you’re building choose a pet that is the right age and breed for you and your family. THE RIGHT BREED By understanding the breed makeup of the pet, you can learn all about: • What activity levels they need • What inherited health issues to watch for • Their behavior traits and nutritional needs • Their weight and size once fully grown • Mixed-breed dogs can make perfect companions!

THE REWARDS By choosing adoption, you get to save a life while finding a companion who provides endless and unconditional love. The positive effects animals have on most people are beyond words. They offer us moral support and a welcome soothing during life's hard times and a vibrant loving companion ready to help us enjoy the great times. Faithful regardless of circumstance, their affection transcends boundaries. A well-treated pet is always ready to share their love — the touch of a wet nose cuddling your face or the sound of a concerned whimper in commiseration when you are sad, the ready at a moment's notice to hop in your lap or the absolute glee at your return to the home. Some scientific studies show that animals may feel love in the same way people do — through a similar chemical process. When you hold an animal — your cat, dog, horse, or many other creatures of the animal kingdom, something magical happens. It releases many of the same hormones we experience when in love. Animals understand that you are unique to them and their bond is sincere and true. Don't be surprised if the one rescued is you.

CONSIDER ADOPTING RESPONSIBLY

It's probably no surprise that pet adoptions have been soaring worldwide over the past couple years, but it's reasonable to assume the spike in adoptions might also lead to a spike in surrenders as our lifestyles resume post shutdown. Some dogs can develop separation anxiety if owners experience a sudden change in lifestyle — for instance, returning to their workplace. There are several ways to reduce the risk of your dog developing separation anxiety: • Keep a consistent, predictable routine and spend some time apart • Use training and enrichment activities • Stay active • Keep an eye on the pet's anxiety and adapt your approach • Ask for advice and help

DESIGNER SPOTLIGHT

CONFIDENCE is BEAUTIFUL. PATENTED SIMON-SET TECHNIQUE SECURES DIAMONDS INVISIBLY

P icture a diamond floating in the air. Light from every direction illuminates the stone in brilliant sparkles of color and fire. Hovering untouched, it reflects clean, pure light, with nothing to obstruct the vibrance of its shine. Beautiful, absolutely. But practical? No. To achieve the invisible aesthetic of a free-floating diamond — while keeping it safe and secure — designers at Simon G. created the patented Simon-set technique. Simon-set by Simon G. is an invisible setting technique that combines precision, security, and sustainability into a new era of diamond jewelry. Unlike other invisible setting techniques that use glue or set diamonds using only two prongs, the Simon- set technique adds enhanced security and peace of mind by combining innovative technology with artisan craftsmanship. Each Simon-set stone is set with micro-prongs that make the setting secure, yet graceful. These ultra-fine prongs hold the stone with all the strength and protection of a larger, more intrusive setting, but without taking away from the pristine invisible aesthetic. Simon-set stones are also set more precisely than other diamonds — hand set and inspected under microscopes by seasoned artisans. The meticulousness attention of Simon G. experts prevents damage, resulting in the sustainability of the piece which can be passed from generation to generation or reset into other pieces over time. The patented Simon-set technology reflects the Simon G. commitment to producing only the finest jewelry that does justice to their creative vision. From concept to reality, all Simon G. pieces are monitored in 10 separate quality- control stations, ensuring every detail — from in-house alloyed metals, to delicate beadwork, to perfectly matching color tones — is executed flawlessly. Simon-set technology replicates the look of a floating diamond while providing more protection for the stone and confidence for the wearer. This unique process also ensures that the diamonds reflect not just the light but also the creative vision of the designer, exactly as conceptualized.

Brides, and mothers of brides, often opt for vintage styling when it comes to their wedding day jewelry. A wedding ceremony itself is often steeped in nostalgia — scripture from ancient writings is shared, generations past and present are honored, and everyone knows that vows between husband and wife have been offered to one another for centuries.

? GIA WHAT DOES IT MEAN? certified

SHOP SMART

T he GIA is the Gemological Institute of America. It is an independent non-profit that exists to protect the public from poor quality gemstones and other practices. This means that GIA certification is not done by the store or the supplier. It is genuinely independent. You can get a stone you own certified for a fee, which depends on the size, although it does require removing the stone from its mountings. Certification is demonstrated by inscribing the report number on the girdle. It is visible only with a loupe or microscope, so it does not affect the look of the stone. It can be buffed off, but not easily replicated. Certification means that the GIA has determined the color, quality, cut, and clarity of the stone. The report will also tell you whether the stone is natural or synthetic. They cannot always grade the cut, as they only provide grades for standard, round brilliant diamonds. They will also grade and identify colored stones and pearls.

46 RUMMELE’S JEWELERS MAGAZINE

Many stones on the market are not GIA certified. This may mean that the seller did not want to unmount and remount the diamond in order to get it graded, especially if the mounting has historic value. Some stores prefer to use their own grading system, but it is always worth remembering that a seller will try to grade their own stones higher. GIA certification is, therefore, a mark of a seller who cares enough to ensure that the stones are graded by a neutral third party and a high GIA grade almost always means a high quality stone that you or your loved one will be proud to wear for years. Rummele’s Jewelers exclusively sells diamonds certified by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). GIA is a highly respected and recognized authority in the diamond industry, known for its rigorous grading standards. Tracy Alpert’s status as a graduate gemologist from GIA adds credibility to the store’s expertise in selling certified diamonds.

RUMMELE’S GIVES BACK

RUMMELE’S JEWELERS IS HONORED TO BE A PART OF MAKING DREAMS COME TRUE

T ogether, we grant life-changing wishes for local kids battling critical illnesses. A wish experience creates a turning point for a child living with a critical illness. This one belief guides us in everything we do at Make-A-Wish ® Wisconsin. Currently, there are over 500 local kids awaiting their greatest wish come true and we are working hard to ensure that we can grant a life-changing wish for every medically qualified local child. We could not do this important work without our compassionate supporters like Tracy Alpert, President & Owner of Rummele’s Jewelers! Tracy is a dedicated member of our Gourmet Wishes signature event leadership committee and has been since the event’s inception more than 20 years ago. This year’s spectacular event was held on October 11th at the Resch Expo overlooking Lambeau Field. More than 650 guests enjoyed a spectacular evening filled with incredible gourmet food, desserts, martinis, wines and craft beers. The area’s finest establishments participated and served their best, like

Republic Chophouse; Taverne in the Sky at Lodge Kohler; Mangiare and Cheese Cake Heaven, to name a few. Plus, guests enjoyed live music, an impressive auction, an inspiring program and more! Tracy is such a wonderful advocate for Make-A-Wish Wisconsin and inspires others to experience the magic of providing transformative hope, strength and great joy to local kids living with critical illnesses through the power of a wish! Tracy and Rummele’s Jewelers generously support our important mission by donating incredible items and experiences to help raise critical funds through our auction. This year, Rummele’s Jewelers was proud to donate $100 for every Breitling watch that was sold at the EAA AirVenture show that was hosted in Oshkosh this last July. Rummele’s graciously donated a total of $5,000 through the watch sales to Make-A-Wish Wisconsin in order to grant one life-affirming wish come true!

“We often hear from parents about how the wish journey makes an incredible impact on their child’s mental, emotional, and physical heath. This is all possible because of our compassionate supporters like Tracy and Rummele’s Jewelers who open their hearts to making wishes come true!” – Kris Teofilo, Senior Regional Director, Make-A-Wish Wisconsin Meet sweet 7-year-old Autumn from Green Bay who was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Autumn’s special wish was to spend a magical week at Walt Disney World® Resort. Thanks to the amazing support of Tracy Alpert and Rummele’s Jewelers, we were able to grant Autumn’s greatest wish come true! “This trip allowed us to get away from all of the stress and struggles that come from a life dealing with cancer treatments. We were able to celebrate our daughter and how far she has come. Being able to spend this time as a family away from the dark thoughts of treatment and hospitals was something we desperately needed. Autumn was able to experience things that she would not have been able to without this trip. This is definitely something she will never forget & we will hold these memories for a lifetime.” There are many inspiring ways to get involved to help make life-affirming wishes come true for local kids like Autumn!
