IWC NAVIGATE THE SKIES IN STYLE F amous for its aviation watches, IWC’s early wristwatches for pilots contributed to what has become the standard design of the genre: large cases and big numerals for high readability, luminescent material on the hands and indexes for night reading, and highly accurate movements. IWC’s stable of modern aviator-style timepieces serves as a tribute to its long history of making tool watches for military use. The Pilot’s Watch Mark XX and the Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 are perfect examples of how these professionally functional watches have been adapted for modern comfort. Both are a very wearable 41 mm wide (watches developed for use by pilots in the military were often as wide as 55 mm), and both contain state-of- the-art automatic movements made by IWC.
