MONROE COLLECTION

S pokane has many historical landmarks with unique architecture but for us, the Monroe Street Bridge stands out amongst them all. According to spokanehistorical.org, the first Monroe Street Bridge was constructed of wood and built with horses and wagons in mind. A new Monroe Street Bridge constructed of steel was completed in 1890. The steel bridge represented a step towards modernity and was completed just in time to accommodate an unprecedented time of expansion for the city. The bridge boasted updates such as overhead lighting and the ability to accommodate doubled-tracked streetcars. It soon became apparent the bridge vibrated heavily with any sort of traffic. In 1907 the elephants of the Ringling Brother’s Circus refused to walk across the shaky span. Today’s Monroe Street Bridge opened November 23, 1911 with over 3,000 Spokane citizens on hand to celebrate. It was the world’s

largest concrete arch-bridge at the time! The Monroe Street Bridge has proven that with time and experience comes perfection. Brian Toone was motivated to create our Monroe collection after he meticulously crafted his wife, Beth Toones, wedding band which features the same

attributes. It is made 100% entirely in-house and has evolved to be the best it can possibly be, a true JDC masterpiece. The hidden design details, inspired by the arches of the bridge, make it more comfortable and secure while allowing an unencumbered view of your diamonds. Our special 18 karat gold blends combined with our expert casting technique

make it more durable and reduces the need for rhodium plating. You can view the full collection in our showrooms or we can make a customized one just for you! The possibilities are truly endless!
