GIRARD-PERREGAUX

Founded in 1856, Girard-Perregaux has a storied history of innovation and excellence. Its founder, Constant Girard, was enamored with the tourbillon mechanism, and in 1867 he presented the unique Tourbillon with Three Bridges, also known as the Esmerelda. As its name suggests, the defining feature of the watch was the three prominent bridges arranged in parallel, lending a unique aesthetic to the movement. The Bridges collection is still part of Girard- Perregaux’s contemporary collection, frequently featuring the trio of bridges on the dial side.

Another iconic collection from Girard-Perregaux is the Laureato, the company’s collection of luxury sports watches. Introduced in 1975, the Laureato’s defining features include an octagonal bezel, an integrated bracelet, and more often than not, a beautifully textured dial. Rounding out Girard-Perregaux’s offering are the 1966 collection of round watches that pay tribute to the company’s chronometry achievements in the sixties, the Vintage 1945 range of curved square watches, and the Cat’s Eye lineup of oval-shaped women’s watches.
