Christine Doan’s journey with Fink’s Jewelers is a story of growth, passion, and dedication. Starting as an executive assistant in 2019, she quickly fell in love with the world of fine jewelry and the relationships built within it. Now, as the Assistant Store Manager of the North Hills location, Christine is bringing her signature warmth, energy, and expertise to customers and her team alike.
How did your journey with Fink’s begin? My uncle has been a jeweler with Fink’s for over 30 years, and when I was finishing up college, he encouraged me to apply for an assistant role. I started in our Greensboro location in 2019, working alongside one of the company’s top producers. That role really opened my eyes to the beauty of this industry, and I knew I had found the right career path. What do you love most about being an Assistant Store Manager? I love that every day is an opportunity to learn. Even though I’ve worked in multiple locations, each market has its own unique clientele and style. Understanding what resonates with customers in Raleigh has been exciting, and I enjoy helping them find the perfect piece. How has Neil LaGarde influenced your career? Neil has been an incredible mentor to me. He doesn’t just lead — he works alongside us, setting an example of what great leadership looks like. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned from him is the importance of listening. In this business, truly hearing what customers want is the key to making them happy. Do you have a favorite jewelry brand? If you see me, you’ll know I’m a walking billboard for David Yurman — I absolutely love his designs. I also have a deep appreciation for Roberto Coin. His pieces have such a timeless elegance that never goes out of style. What do you enjoy doing outside of work? When I get home, I love spending time with my dog, Chloe — she’s my world! My boyfriend and I are also huge baseball fans. We’re season ticket holders for the Durham Bulls, and I follow the St. Louis Cardinals religiously. If there’s a game on, you can bet I’m watching it or keeping up with the score!
