Lab created diamonds are made using two distinctly different growing processes, Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD), the preferred method for quality diamonds over 1 carat and High Pressure-High Temperature (HPHT) where growth occurs within enormous pressure cookers called cubic presses. This is the most common mass production method, especially for smaller stones.
