GRAND SEIKO MECHANICAL HI-BEAT 36000 GMT

TUDOR BLACK BAY 58

GRAND SEIKO GMT SPRING DRIVE

CLASSIC Higher quality calls for a high-frequency movement, and the 36,000 vph (compared to the average 28,800vph) of Grand Seiko’s caliber 9S86, gets top grades. In a mechanical movement, the higher the frequency the greater the accuracy and stability. This one has a GMT second time zone function, to remind you of what time it is at home. The 40 mm case is titanium, and the watch has a 55-hour power reserve. $8,500

DIVERS The all-blue version of Tudor’s highly sought-after Black Bay Fifty-Eight, the BB58 as enthusiasts call it, is so-named because Tudor’s first dive watches debuted in 1958. The new blue version has a 39 mm steel case and contains the in-house automatic MT5402 movement, with a silicon balance spring and an adjustable balance. It is COSC certified, accurate to within -2 and +4 seconds per day. With a 70-hour power reserve. $3,800

SPORT This limited edition commemorates the 20th anniversary of Grand Seiko’s first GMT watch. It contains caliber 9R16, with an accuracy rating of +10/- 10 seconds per month. The 44 mm case is stainless steel and it is water resistant to 200 meters. $7,300
