The first batch was limited to one for each player in the history of Major League Baseball.
Made possible by a collective of current and former major leaguers, Field of Dreams celebrates the nostalgia of baseball and the spirit of chasing your passion. Over 5 billion kernels of Field of Dreams Corn™ have been distilled into barrels since the brand was founded. In its first release, Field of Dreams Bourbon Whiskey was limited to 22,860 bottles—one for every player in major league history—and hand-numbered, making it a truly collectible bottle. “As a baseball player and a distiller, I see the parallels between card collecting and bourbon collecting—it’s always about the story. Stories are what connect us, whether it’s about how a great game is played or how a great drink is crafted,” shared Drew. In developing the recipe, the team wanted to make sure the sweet,
creamy flavor of the corn shone through. They chose to exclude barley altogether, finding it yielded the best expression of the Field of Dreams Corn™. For Drew, he takes his with a few drops of water, what he calls “buttering the corn,” to open up more nuanced flavors. He adds that while Field of Dreams started as his own baseball story, once it’s in your glass, “the storytelling is all up to you.”
