DESIGNER SPOTLIGHT

Introducing Dinh Van

A pioneering French jewelry brand founded by Jean Dinh Van in 1965, Dinh Van redefined the status quo. After spending a decade as a Cartier goldsmith, where he was one of the few allowed to stamp his own name into pieces, Dinh Van set out to create jewelry that was minimalist and modern, breaking away from traditional designs. Before then, jewelry was always elaborate, and only worn on special occasions. Dinh Van went against this norm, creating jewelry that was ready to wear. The brand is best known for its iconic Menottes collection, inspired by a keychain Jean Dinh Van once shared with his girlfriend, symbolizing unity and connection. The iconic chain links in many of the collections draw inspiration from the fences surrounding Parisian landmarks, such as the Palais Garnier. Dinh Van’s contribution

to jewelry design has earned the brand a rare distinction: it is one of the few jewelry designers to have pieces displayed in the Louvre museum in Paris. Known for its geometric shapes, clean lines, and everyday wearability, Dinh Van’s jewelry continues to redefine luxury by merging simplicity with elegance, making it a favorite for those who appreciate understated sophistication.
