The Botz+DeLaGarza Wedding

The night they met, Adam spotted Brooklyn from across the dance floor. Confident and persistent, he walked up to her, cowboy hat in place, and asked her to dance. At first, she re- fused, but he wasn’t one to give up so easily. Before she could think about it twice, Adam changed her mind and swept Brooklyn out onto the dance floor — and that one moment became the start of something extraordinary. Their love took root in Dallas but found its wings in Colorado. The mountains became a cherished es- cape for the couple, a place where time slowed and life felt simple. It was there, on a cold February evening in Durango, that Adam got down on one knee, asking Brooklyn to be his, forever. Unaware of what was com- ing, she had stepped outside in an oversized fuzzy jacket, Adam’s baggy sweats, and pink rain boots — far from the picture-perfect proposal look. A last-minute change into something more fitting set the stage for a moment she would never forget.

Exactly one year later, on August 24, the couple returned to the moun- tains to celebrate their love and mar- riage with close friends and family. Nestled in the mountains of Durango, Brooklyn’s parents’ property provided a breathtaking backdrop for a wedding that was both deeply personal and ef- fortlessly elegant. Every detail spoke to their journey together, from the hand-built altar crafted by Brooklyn’s father from reclaimed wood to the pearl drop earrings, carefully chosen with the help of her best friend. IN THE SMALLEST, MOST UNEXPECTED WAYS. FOR BROOKLYN, 30, AND ADAM, 36, IT ALL BEGAN WITH A PRO- POSAL TO DANCE — ONE THAT ALMOST DIDN’T HAPPEN. SOME LOVE STORIES UNFOLD IN GRAND GESTURES, WHILE OTHERS ARE WOVEN TOGETHER
